Bored ... at Home [Offline Blog 18/5]

Remembering that last week was the day my final paper of the semester ended, it seems like time passed really slow during this semester holiday. In just more than a week's time, I'll find myself back in the old-boring university days, cycling to and from lecture classes, tutorials, practical lab sessions and chinese orchestral practices...

Despite of my current financial problem, I couldnt go any where but to stay put inside my home, as a good boy as I always was... ever since. But luckily, I still got some books to read to, and currently I'm re-reading JK Rowling's Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows for the 4th or 5th times (I lost count of it) to get ready of myself for the final movie of the series.

I wonder what will I be doing after finishing the book. Perhaps another round of reading on The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown. This great book always gives you a heartbeating sensation on every chapters you read, and you'll crave for more after you finished a chapter.

Just to hope that these two book will be enough to occupy my more-than-a-week's-holiday before I got back to Kampar.

Ciao~

Movie Review: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I [Offline Blog for 24/11]

Hey yeah !!! So damn happy to watch this long-waited part I of the finale. And I'm so damn happy to watch it with my friend too though he said he didnt watch any Harry Potter movies before. That friend of mine might not know how BEST is this movie, but as a HP fan, I would like to say that... this part I of the finale is really the BEST movie ever made for the series. 很谢谢你今天的时间,总是觉得我弄闷了你,很不好意思咯。 >"<

#Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I theatrical poster.#

Plot:
The Dark Lord has returned, and now everyone in the magical world starts to afraid about it. At the same time, the Death Eaters also infiltrated the Ministry of Magic, and Snape is appointed as the headmaster of Hogwards school of witchcraft and wizardry. In order to avoid being caught by the Death Eaters, Harry, Ron and Hermione took the items given to them through Dumbledore's will and set on a journey to destroy the Horcruxes and ultimately Lord Voldermot himself.

Will love break their friendships ?
Will disappointment break their hopes ?
Will trust break their defences ?

Review:
*This section might contain spoilers.*

Recalling back to the first few teasers/trailers, I just realized that a few scenes are not shown in the movie. Perhaps those are the scenes from part II...

From the opening till the end of the movie, I'm keeping track of the scenes and chapters as written in the book. And surprises me, I didnt sense any "gaps" between scenes in the movie. The movie's plot went on smoothly, every second on the movie is very tense.

The funny thing is the small bag the Hermione took with her. She casted a spell on it (from the book: I remembered its actually a gift from Hagrid if not mistaken) and the storage space is extended. Other than books, clothes, potion flasks... she even stuffed a small tent inside too ! And of course, the tent was extended too, so it could fit 3 of them inside.

Memorable scenes ?

"Obliviate." Hermione casted a spell to erase her parent's memory.

"Nagini, dinner..." said Lord Voldermot to his pet.

"Kreacher, find Mundungus," Harry ordered his housekeeper elf.

"Dobby is a free house elf !" I'm sure you know who said this...

Also not forgetting the "7 Potter" scene, the wedding and "getting flushed into the Ministry of Magic".

*Spoiler section ends.*

Rating:
A 10 out of 10 would be good. Highly praising the "7 Potter" scene, scenes inside the Ministry of Magic, Hermione narrating Beedle the Bard's - The Tale of the Three Brothers and "Malfoy's Manon".

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 Trailer is OUT !

With happiness and joy, I present to you all one of my favorite movies of the year: Harry Potter ! Its coming into our cinemas on November 19th as shown in the trailer.

Without further delay, do watch the trailer first.

If there isnt any video to watch or unable to watch the video on my blog, please click HERE to watch the video on YouTube, or HERE on Yahoo! movies.

This is gonna be one of the must watch movies in my list for the year other than a few of other notable ones.

The trailer spoils us about the 7 Potters scene at the beginning of the book. Some other remarkable scene is the at the Ministry of Magic, wedding of Bill and Fleur at the Burrow, Mr Xenophilius Lovegood's betrayal, meeting between Voldemort and the Death Eaters at Malfoy's Manor, Olivander the wandmaker, Dobby, Dumbledore's white tomb, the glance on the broken piece of mirror, retriving the Griffindor Sword under the pool and destroying the Horcrux...

...and lots more to be noted !

"I have seen your heart... and it is mine," said the Horcrux Voldemort to Ron. Opps, spoiler here !

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1's ending will be somewhere around Chapter 24 of the book titled The Wandmaker, which covers around 2/3 of the book.

Cant wait for the movie to come already, although I know I may be dissapointed by the plot just like the previous movie title does. But anyway, I'm still very excited about this movie !

A Day at KLCC [Offline Blog for 10/1]

As mentioned earlier about the outing plan by Freezie-chan, it was successfully carried out yesterday. Ex TE-4 members who participated: Me, Freezie-chan, Hermin, Rannie and "My" Chelle (with her sister and her friend Charmaine).

We agreed to meet at KLCC's Roti Boy on 10.30am and I'm already late while I was walking to the bus station around 10am. Reached Pasar Seni moments later and I thought of giving "My" Chelle a call, but there's no signal on my phone. While I move my eyes away from my phone, I saw her in front of me with her giving-you-a-surprise-"hey" look. I flinched back a little and then we caught a LRT going to KLCC together.

Meet Freezie and Hermin waiting at the bakery around 10.45am+, and I thought I heard someone said "hey, its quite fast huh, we're not very late".

Went to TGV later for the detective movie Sherlock Holmes after "My" Chelle's sister and her friend went to Education Fair. I'm not sure with other people, but I think that the whole movie was very Detective-Conan-like, and I like it.

For Detective Conan fans, you may know that Shinichi Kudo got his name "Conan" from the author of Sherlock Holmes, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Sherlock Holmes also the favourite novel character for Shinichi. So for all Detective Conan fans, Sherlock Holmes is a must watch movie.

After the movie, we went to Sakae Sushi (too bad I didnt took the picture of the restaurant front door) for a Japanese cuisine lunch. This restaurant was very technology advanced, as we're ordering our food through the touch-screen monitor on the side of the table. Hermin and Freezie helped us to order the food and ... Itadakimasu !

#Touch-screen monitor !#

#Freezie testing with the "advanced toy"...#

#Hermin demostrating how to use it.#

#Dont know how to use it ? There's a short tutorial on the menu.#

#Hot water and cups with green tea bags.#

#Freezie-chan's Tempura Ramen with California Roll.#

#Freezie's "satisfied bite" of the same California Roll.#

#Rannie's ultimate Yokubari Gozen, including a rice, miso soup, chicken chop, curry sause, chicken satay and sea-shell-kind of seafood.#

#Eh...perhaps Freezie-chan interupted Rannie's meal on the wrong time by wanting to try some miso soup...#

What else can we do in such a beautiful restaurant ? Photo shooting time !

#Self-shooting on the mirror...#

#Yay...show some teeeeth ~~#

#Promoting Sakae Sushi's green tea !#

#Promoting the same thing...again !#

#Left to right: "My" Chelle, Rannie, me and Hermin.#

#Freezie-chan was too excited while taking this photo till its blurred ! It showed that they're really enjoying the time where Hermin putting the pot over her head...#

#She was excited and tried to do the same trick herself !#

#Whats with that look Rannie ?#

#Camwhoring ...#

#... but then I found that having somebody to take it was better. ^^#

#Rannie acting as the ghost in "The Ring" that creap out from the TV ?#

With hard attempt, we're awake from our photo shooing-mode as we noticed that we're being watched by others. We leave the restaurant and went to Kinokuniya for a walk.

Some searching for Twilight, some aimlessly looking around, while I looking for Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes. I did found a whole collection of Sherlock Holmes' story, but it'll cost me hundreds. So I think I should look for some other books of Sherlock Holmes.

#Harry Potter audiobook full set...#

#A pretty number for such a stuff...if you ask me, we just waved goodbye with the number "2009" not long ago.#

At the end of the walk, each of us bought ourselves a book:

Me = The Extraordinary Cases of Sherlock Holmes, contents 8 cases
Freezie = Twilight, the first book of the series
Rannie = Franklinstine, the bring-back-death-to-alive classical horror
"My" Chelle = the long-waited-to-be-bought Inkdeath paperback cover version

Oh ya, Hermin was thinking of buying herself some R.L. Stine, but she couldnt find a nice one. But I did found a nice one for Scotty...hehehehehehe~~~

#Looks bloody scary...I mean the look of the girl.#

#Scotty, this book really suits you...as you share the same name with the main character ! Haha~#

Around 6pm, we went back to the LRT station and headed back to our own home separately. The outing was fun and I'm very glad to get myself a book to kill some boredom for my last week of the holiday although it cost me some money...

Deleted Scene

"What is Monorail ? What is LRT !? What is KTM !?!?" asked "My" Chelle's sister while we're out of the LRT.

"Monorail is not LRT, KTM is the one that your sister always took to go Kampar." I said.

"What does KTM stands for ?"

"Not sure, but I think there must be a 'Malaysia' at the back, haha~"

"How to differentiate KTM and LRT ? I still dont know how..."

"LRT is red, blue and white in colour; KTM is blue, yellow and white in colour...I think..." I answered after some thinking.

When we pass by a signboard showing the railway of the LRT, she said "oh, now I know what am I taking just now...its LRT !"

Special thanks to Sensei for notifying me this news. >w<

(Real) Last Post of the Semester !

Oh ! So basically yesterday's post wasnt the LAST post of the semester at all ! *Glad* So I'm now writing something more likely to be the "last post of the semester" thingy and now lets refresh of what we, or more accurately, me myself... had done during this semester...

#The first day ever entered UTAR Kampar and having my first class on the first day of my first semester and... this is my first picture taken for the semester as well ! (Too many "FIRST" I guess... ?)#

#Lecture hall in DDK1. Its huge, and it looks like a small cinema, excluding the terrible projector and sometimes the sound system...#

#Arr...boring chemistry lab. While in chemistry, "My" Chelle and Sensei would be very active; when it comes to biology lab, its my turn to be active. It just occured like that...funny huh ?#

#Posing inside of Block A with Jest. Dont know why, we just posed there and *snap* ... a picture is taken.#

#Ah... the so known "Harry Potter toilet bowls" are found in Kampar ! Am I making you boys curious about it ? (Hey, no peeking at your side would ya !? Zzz...)#

#Something nice is inside this modified "Tesco tissue box" ... is an eclipse ! Its not a total eclipse but me and Sensei managed to see the partial eclipse with it !#

#Erm...censored picture posted ? OMG ! Scotty looked so shock...#

#Birthday celebration in Henry's house. Where's the birthday boy and girl went in this picture !?#

#Thanks to Llyen and Tweety-chan for bringing in the birthday cakes of mine and Freezie's. Everyone was so satisfied with the "peppermint cake" !#

#First day of study week, Tweety-chan went to UTAR just to take a picture with this 988 car.#

#Oh...thats me ! Haha~ Basically I'm there because of the same reason too...#

#After taking pictures with the 988 car which actually coming to UTAR for the what-sort-ever "Homecoming" thingy, we went to Tesco and *woot* ... Scotty becomes a santa !?#

Time for SS pictures ! Haha~

Rannie took me along for a hair cut in a rainny day ! Though our legs were wet with sands as we're walking (we cant cycle in the rain, we'll be chicken soup in any minute !)... but it was worth it, and we got a nice hair cut ! I'm not sure how it looks, but since Jest, Sensei and Rannie said it looks nice ... it should be nice, right ?

#Right after the hair cut.#

#Quite to be "spiky" huh ? Thanks to the barber lady who sprinkled some of those what-sort powder on my hair for testing. It works as those wax we usually use...#

#... Strange enough, those little amount of powder do shape up your hair ! Its not sticky, not oily, it just so normal !#

#Just SS-ing around. And so... thats all for this time, see you all next semester, which starts on 19th of October ! WOW...almost a month of holiday huh ? Hehe~#

Before I forget...for those who're still having their exams, please do DO your revision and good luck in your exams !
