回顾 2014

是的我知道这篇文写得有点迟了，但是你没听说过“迟到好过没有到”吗？*明明就在找借口*

话说，2014 年我自己本身有很大的突破：年头换了一份新工作，第一次搭飞机，也终于有时间做自己喜欢的东西。废话不多说，直接看照片回顾吧~~

#《一路有你》这部本地制作的电影算不错了。里面有很多我们马来西亚的风土人情和文化，而且故事也编得很好，进场看戏的人都会被感动到。大马新一代歌手颜慧萍的歌声也很有吸引力，因此我也支持下下买了原声带回来，因为我婆婆也喜欢她的歌。#

#今年情人节和朋友俩度过。我还记得我们在 Sakae Sushi 吃东西，这盘寿司好像是 Mango Soft Shell Crab Maki  之类的。#

#四月公司 annual dinner 在沙巴总部，我们在 KL 工作的必须飞去那里参加。如果来回机票不是公司出的我想我都不会去啊！第一次坐飞机的经历其实不会很恐怖，只是 take off 和 landing 的时候会怕怕罢了。我和另外三个同事也趁机会拿多几天假期在沙巴旅行，我身后的那座就是沙巴著名的神山 Mt. Kinabalu 啦~#

#这个小可爱是有个人买麦当当吃送给我的，看到它就会不由自主地笑起来。#

#六月中人生第二次搭飞机，也是人生中第二次出国与朋友来到了台湾这个热情的国家。小吃多，人礼貌，风景美，交通又方便... 第一次旅行的朋友来到这里真的不会失踪不会迷路，因为这里的人一定会把你带到你要去的地方，而且还会介绍你什么地方有什么东西玩，什么东西吃。他妈的我真的舍不得离开啊~~#

#第一次很舍得花钱去看超水准的交响音乐会。试问人生有几个机会可以在马来西亚看 Distant Worlds 啊？目前你们错过了两个哦！自从初中一开始接触 Final Fantasy VII 过后就开始迷了这系列。Final Fantasy 独特的就是它的故事情节，角色之间的互动，优美的音乐和不断创新追求完美逼真的画风。我很努力告诉自己不能流泪，结果当音乐前奏响起时眼泪已经在翻滚了。那种感动我无法用语言形容... 现场听演奏出来熟悉的音乐真的感觉很梦幻，我怎么也想不到三个小时就这么过了！#

#同事们都说有个马来当口卖的 nasi kukus 很好吃，结果最后自己也尝试到了传说中美味的 nasi kukus！它果然名不虚传啊~~~#

#网上认识了一个朋友，有段时间经常到他家打电动煮饭游泳。也因为经常游泳的关系，原本不怎么会游泳的都被他教会了一些些。我开始想念你家的泳池了啊~~#

#被嘲笑这是个不搭配的晚餐：干捞榨菜猪肉碎米粉 + 马铃薯泥。我吃得开心就好啊... 其实味道也不会很难吃啊...#

#自从买了个电脑后会开始迷惑不知道要玩什么游戏，因为想玩的游戏太多，但是时间不够啊！！！#

#讨厌... 最讨厌做 OT 然后看到这个画面。总觉得空荡的走廊背后有个黑影在跟随着我... 不就是自己的影子吗？#

#刚过不久的十二月再次坐飞机去了 Langkawi 这个免税岛。你看过 menu 里面啤酒是比果汁便宜的吗？这岛说小不小，说大不大，但它还真的有很多很漂亮的海滩和岛屿。回家前买了一大堆的巧克力和几瓶 apple cider... 如果要用四个字形容，那一定是“满载而归”。#

回顾 [Offline Blog for 30/1]

终于回到自己的家了！开心的是有好吃好喝好看的东西；伤心的是没得上网而已。哈哈~

刚才玩笛子玩累了就去开电脑，transfer 了些照片进电脑后就没事情做了。手痒的我跑去开以前的照片来回顾回顾一下。心里面“哇”一声的，才发现自己原来学笛子快要一年了！光阴果然似箭啊，“咻”一声就说一年了！

#残酷的事实。。。学笛子当然是要给钱买笛子啦！#

#买了笛子后就把它当成宝了，去到那里就带到那里，上课都要带着去上！#

回想起以前大家还是 noob noob 的那时候，拿起那笛子博命在吹，只希望吹出一个音；到随手拿起笛子来就可以吹出一些简单的音调及歌曲；到在我们华乐团自己的演奏会表演；到现在，忙着练习接下来演奏会表演的曲子。。。短短的一年里竟然发生了那么多的事，让我发现到，时间到底是过得很快，还是过得很慢？

四个月半已过了。。。原来时间过得那么快啊？

___ [Offline Blog for 2/11]

没有特别想到要用什么题目，就这样空着它吧。

实习一个月有多两天了，也认识了一班刚从 UCSI 来的实习生。我不知该开心或是伤心，因为孤独的我终于等待到一位男生来上班跟我抢厕所了！哈哈。。。虽然如此，但是整个办公室还是他所谓的“阴盛阳衰”咯。。。

开始还以为我们不会有很大的互动，但是今天才认识第二天，除了会用 MSN 沟通问工作上的问题（是我跟我朋友同事两人带坏教他们的），也开始用它来聊天了。

今天才聊了有半天，就已经开始聊“有的没的”了。。。

聊着东西聊到一半，看了他转发过来的信息后，我顿时替他心疼。

开始发现，除了坚持和放弃，等待，或许也是其中一种选择。
也发现，人总是喜欢玩弄人家的心；玩完了，就把人家甩掉。
聊了一段时间后，除了替他心疼，自己的心也开始疼起来了。

现在听着他介绍的歌，觉得听歌的 taste 还蛮不错的，有些同感。哈哈~
在最后，我也只能祝福他面对着的问题顺利，成功咯。。。

走着那回家的路，仰望着那近黄昏的天空。。。也发现了一件事：

与其欣赏那短暂的黄昏景色，不如爱上那满天星星的夜空。

说起夜空，我也很久没看过那满天星的夜空了。当然，想起夜空，就会想起了金宝咯！

那里够暗，够静，也够有 feel 去看。

在那篮球场圃个草席，凉凉的冷风吹过，配上一杯热腾腾的饮料，躺下来仰望着那夜空，聆听着那蟋蟀与青蛙的叫声。。。简直就是爽到难以引用文字形容的爽嘛！当然，也要小心蚊子啦。。。

那夜空。。。真的好怀念。

如果能坐在那夜空下。。。我。。。

Series Review: Dollhouse

If you're asked about the dollhouse, the first thing that pops into your head might be little girls playing tea party with barbie dolls. But for the citizens of LA, its a different story. There's an organization that snatches people and make them do what they want them to do, and they become dolls...

Welcome to Dollhouse, which is a huge facility that hires human to wealthy clients for all kind of purpose: from romantic relationship, a friend, a loving mother to skilled assassin, computer genius and professional negociator. The one in the LA is just one of the 20+ Dollhouses around the globe.

Dollhouse hires volunteer and sometimes offers people to become a "doll" or an Active in their facility and sent them for "missions" or Engagements to the clients. Each Active has their original personality wiped clean and stored in a hard disk, and impinted with new personality and skills that helps them to complete their Engagements. When the Actives had their memories wiped, they enter a tabula rasa state, or blank state and rest inside the Dollhouse during their non-Engagement time.

Each Actives were contracted for 5 years and when it ends, the original personality will be imprinted back to their bodies and they'll found themselves with tons of cash in their bank.

And the story revolves around a volunteer Active codenamed Echo, who starts to develope self-awareness about the imprinting process and begins to remember trace memories of her own Engagements even though they're wiped clean. When FBI agent Paul Ballard was trying to search for the Dollhouse, he meets Echo and eventually vows to bring down Dollhouse after knowing his neighbour and going to be lover Mellie, was an Active to spy him.


Review:
Dollhouse lasted for 2 seasons and officially cancelled, with 27 episodes including 1 original pilot and 1 unaired episode "Epitaph One". Since this is a short Sci-fi series that actually ended due to cancellation, so it doesnt hurt to finish it up if you do like science and technology. The series starts off with "giving what people needs", and later on dealing with the rights of humanity to create a personality and imprint it into a body and the darker secret of the company that funded for the Dollhouse: Rossum Corporation.

With all the actions and heat in this series, I give it a 9 out of 10 for its awesome plot and the actress Eliza Dushku that protrays Echo. She's really good in her acting skills that she could be proffesional, deadly, sexy, loving, caring or even crazy and then enters the blank state in just a few seconds.

Gotta continue on with my season 2 now, hope you'll find this series interesting too. Ciao...

Movie Review: Dear John

Just finished watching this movie and I think I should come and write a review on it to share it. Well, the poster says it, Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried are the main character of this movie, who protrays John Tyree and Savannah Curtis.

John is a US Special Force army who're having his holiday in his hometown and he picked up the bag that Savannah dropped into the edge of the ocean from the pier. As appreciating his effort, she invited him over to her house for the party. Ever since that night, they become very close and 2 weeks later, they're separating coz John is going back for duty and Savannah's school starts soon. They're separating 1 year apart and they scare something might happen in that period.

So to strengthen their relationship, John promised that he will write often to her to let her know about the happenings around him; in return, Savannah will do the same too.

A year passed by and thinking of he could reunite with Savannah again, the incident 911 happened. War and terrorist and sorta things brings John back into the battlefield after the short meeting with Savannah.

What would be the ending of this tragedy ? How will they cope with each other to maintain their relationship ? Will Savannah got tired and give up on John ? All of these answers could be found in the movie of course.

First thing: I found a nice song in this movie, written and performed by Amanda Seyfried - Little House. She sings this song while playing guitar to John in the movie. It was touching and beautiful. Here's the song:

Second thing: When the story go into John's father, I got touched and almost shed a tear. The scene is warming and you should go look for it yourself while watching it.

Third thing: Of course, the ratings ! 7 out of 10. This is a romance movie so dont hope for many humour or funny stuffs here.

And in the end, just for your information: Dear John is the movie adaption of the novel with the same name writen by Nicholas Sparks in 2006.

You Call That an ICE KACANG !?

It was yesterday that I shifted most of my belongings to the new room down the street. Million thanks to Sensei, "My" Chelle, Ah Hua, Bond and the suddenly showed up yLeong, who helped me to shift my stuffs. Without them, I gotta carry all the boxes and bags and notes all by myself !

The new room's environment was quite OK, just that those housemates there are quite scary. Talked to them twice, got shocked and scared twice.

Anyhow, as an appreciation, I decided to buy them a drink, and we end up in a mamak stall somewhere near KTAR (you'll know where izzit if you're paying careful attention on the words...).

We sat inside and waved for a menu, and Sensei starts to order her favorite ice kacang.


"Ice kacang satu."

"Tak da."

All of us went "..."

"Kita mau makan ice kacang...kalau tak da tak pa la..."

Just as we wanted to get up, the waiter went into the kitchen and returned.
"Ice kacang ada."

Pointing at the menu. "Ini semua ada ?"

"Ada."

"Ice kacang biasa satu."
"Peach longan ice kacang satu."
"Soursoup longan ice kacang satu."


Then the nightmare came.

We thought that they're lazy to make the ice kacang for us at first, and by the judge of the beh song look after taking our order, we concluded that the ice kacang that we order might be strange. 

The truth:

#My so known "peach longan ice kacang".#

Name and logo of the restaurant is taken at the back ! P/S: the restaurant was numbered "2".

For sure, that wasnt the ice kacang that I had before !!! The ice was not soft, it was a rock hard half melted ice with longan and peach sea coconut !!! It took me almost forever to finish the whole thing. The only taste I got from it is the sweetness of the sea coconut, when it was finished, the whole thing went tasteless.

While having this "ice kacang", I started to poke the rock hard ice with the spoon. What I found is that this ice is actually a huge ice cube !!!

OMG... we paid the bill and leave for good. I dont think I'll ever step into this mamak again for any food. Its just better to go to the other stalls than this mamak.

ユメ：二番

I remember having a post title "ユメ" in the very beginning when I started this blog, so I've put "二番" to differectiate them. Hopefully I didnt have any grammar mistakes here, as my Japanese was not even reaching Level 1 !!!

(Eh hem)

Well, I had this dream again; at the very familiar huge and tall shopping mall, where all the escalators are so damn long, the elevators are so damn big and fast when going up. The shopping mall was familiar coz it appeared in my dream for quite a lot of times already, but bear in mind that this shopping mall doesnt even exists in the reality as far as I know...

Everytime I got myself inside this shopping mall, the only thing I can see is the long escalator that looks like the roller coaster track, and the huge gold coloured double-door evelator. The walls of the shopping mall was made of glass, and it was always dark outside...

I know the back door of the mall, some restaurants, shops and even the washrooms. I remember passing by the clothes department and toys department a lot to reach the escalator...

I always end up finding myself taking the evelator to the top most of the mall, the place with lots of people. It gives me the feeling just like the casino, but there's also an arcade gaming place for the kids too.

I've never been liked to go there, but somehow there's always some event that takes me there and stucks me there without letting me take the evelator back down again.




Wonder whats the meaning behind this shopping mall, somehow familiar, but it was not found in the reality... yet, at least not by me. Would my next dream leads me to the same old evelator that shoot up to the top within seconds and show me what it wanted me to know ?

Better quit dreaming and starts to pack up and do some revision !

My Favorite Surfing Spot: Where Else, My Room Of Course !!!

Ever since my house owner starts to keep his dog outside of his room, the whole second floor starts to be awefully smelly. I'm not gonna go through this complain again since I've already done it in my previous post here, so I'll talk about some other stuffs now...
As a university-level student now, my favorite surfing spot would always be my own room. Everything that I needed can be found here: my fluffy pillow, my warming bed, my comfortable chair... where else could I go surfing the Internet other than my own room !? XD

But, there's always been a problem to the Internet connection lately:
- Slow
- Slow
- What to expect, its so zetta S-L-O-W !!!

Well, there's been a day where I cant go online to search informations for my science report (which I'm gonna pass it up on the next day !), and when I went out and check the modem, something terrible and horrifying happened. . .

#The telephone line connected to the modem was... cut !#

The curious doggy chewed the telephone line into two ! OMEG~~~

To avoid this problem from happening again, my house owner actually bought us a P1 W1max and not to use any telephone line again.

#Not this Wiggy of course...he might went bankrupt eventhough we're paying him rental every month !#

#Yeah, this is what I'm talking about, the P1 W1max that we got in our house !#

I was shocked to see that we're using P1 W1max instead of the old modem when I got back from lecture class the other day. To be curious, there's no telephone line plugged on the P1 W1max modem ! Curiosity arouses, and hence I quickly tried the Internet connection by opening Facebook. Within seconds, the main page of Facebook shows up ! Wow~ it was really amazing that without a direct telephone line, this black-coloured box can be used to surf the Internet !

There's been a lot of convinence since he bought P1 W1max into the house.

- No need to afraid of the telephone line got "potong" again

- Better connection speed

- Higher download speed

- Best of all, I can now surf Facebook without lagging anymore !

Ever since, I've been hanging out at my favorite surfing spot for MSN chatting, Facebook-ing, gaming and downloading musics a lot ! Wanna have a picture ?

After watching the fake fan-made music video that I've posted last time, the real music video of the song Telephone performed by Lady GaGa and Beyonce is now available !

Well, I didnt expect such a long music video, and it took me quite some time to load it (and I'm still loading it while I'm writing this post).

In this music video, Lady GaGa was standing out of all the people around her by stucking aluminium tin cans and telephone on her head and burning cigarates on her specs !

Well...nothing much to say. It just ... wow !

Report: A Missing Chocolate Bar !

Title: Missing Chocolate Bar

Objective: To find out the cause of the missing chocolate bar.

Introduction:
The missing chocolate bar known as "Choc" was bought weeks ago by myself and kept inside the fridge for storage. Chocolate has always been my favorite as it gives me a boost of energy for some rushy morning and a healthy snack for depression and stress relieve purpose. But last week when I'm happily hopping to the fridge to have a bite, the whole bar was gone.

More than half bar of the chocolate was dissapeared and the remnants of the packaging could not be found anywhere inside the fridge, kitchen and even the rubbish bag. The mystery behind the missing chocolate bar was then been investigated.

Apparatus and Materials:
A new chocolate bar
Fridge
Sticky memo pad
Pen

Procedure:
1. A new bar of the same brand of chocolate was bought.
2. A note was written on the sticky memo pad and stick it on the chocolate bar like this:

3. The chocolate bar was then placed inside the fridge for storage.
4. Any observable changes on the chocolate bar and the fridge was recorded down as time goes on.

Results:

Doesnt matter what the note was about if you cant read it, the main thing is I never expected to recieve a note myself after a night time.

Discussions:
The missing chocolate bar's location will never be known. And it doesnt matter anymore, as the note I received stated that he himself doesnt eat chocolate. Hence, another hypothesis might be useful since the note stated that "your friend" who ate it.

Since my fellow friends will not dare to take any stuffs from the fridge as I told them not to, so its almost impossible that they'll took the whole chocolate bar away without my notice. Besides, they're not some chocolate lovers since they think that chocolates are fattening.

So another hypothesis can be formed: the cleaning maids.

I witnessed one of them peeling my apple as if it was theirs after their cleaning work in the kitchen. Its obvious that the apple was mine because I bought big apples that time, and an apple was missing in the fridge. So it might be the maid who took the rest of the chocolate bar away without my realize.

So precautional steps should be taken to overcome this problem. We should not mix up our own stuffs with other people's stuff. Even if we can differenciate our stuffs from theirs, they might not be able to do so. Its better be safe than sorry.

Conclusion:
Who cares about a small piece of chocolate, I do. We should respect people's belongings and do not take them without their permission. In the case of food, it is harder to apply the same concept as "who cares where the food went, as long as I eat them and when you're looking, disgustion already taking place right now, so no big deal even you found out it was me that eat your stuffs" exists. So we should be careful of our own stuffs to avoid the same incident from happening again.

Questions For Bloggers

I encounter this questions while I was blogwalking around. I found these questions interesting and they should be shared with other bloggers too. There's no need to be shy, just copy-paste those questions and type out your own answers.


1. How long have you been blogging ?
Since secondary school, starts when I was about Form 3 or 4.

2. What made you start ?
Wanting to improve my english writing skills...and I've met my objective.

3. Who inspired you ?
No one. Blogging was kinda like a trend back in those days, and so I wanted to improve my language, so I blogged.

4. About how many hours a week would you estimate you spend on your blog ?
Not sure, but everytime when I blog, it took me around 1 hour to finish it up for the post with pictures; around half an hour for post without pictures. And I blog 1 to 3 times a week, depends on situation.


5. What kind of experience or background do you have with writing ?
Nothing, I remembered that I've been writing a short story about vampires and vampire hunters, but stopped as writer's block. Lol~ Never published out before to anyone, never kept a copy to myself either. . .


6. Talk about how you come up with blog topics. Where do you get your ideas ?
Mostly from my friends and daily happenings on me. When I found some nice movies, musics and games, I'll share it on my blog too.


7. What or who inspires you and your blog ?
YCW. He used to blog a lot during the Foundation times. He's the reason that I created a Blogger account rather than using the Friendster's blogging service. But he's blogging lesser and lesser these days, busy with assignments and school work I guess...


Well, other than him, is my friends and daily happenings.


8. Where and/or how do your brainstorming for your blog ?
Where ? Inside my brain !
How ? Just think of what am I gonne write for the topic and shot to go.


9. Do you have any blogging rules or guidelines you follow ?
Oh yeah, sure !!!

Rule #1: Do not use real-life name of my friends. They might not wanted to be able to Googled through their real names, so I prefer using lots of nicknames on them.

Rule #2: Do not expose too much privacy and private matters on the blog. You do not know who's stalking your daily life through the Internet other than those whom you know, so its better be safe than sorry to keep your private matters as low as possible.

Rule #3: Do not use rude words ! The most you'll get from my blog is "what the heck" and "shit". Never use @ss and fcuk or any sort of similar words on my blog.

10. Is there anything you will not blog about ?
Religions and believes related topics. Its very sensitive and a slight touch might just got myself killed by thousands and millions of comment on my blog.

Oh yeah, those private matters and gossips I got from my friends and sort. I'm applying self-baikwalization, do not spread the gossips after getting it.

11. Do you have any sort of a publishing schedule in terms of day of week or topic ?
Nope, but I tried to blog with at least 1 to 3 post a week.


12. How many drafts of potential blog posts do you have right now ?
Right now: one, the one about my Chinese New Year post.

13. In what medium do you draft your posts ?
When Internet was not available to me, I'll use Word Pad; but if Internet is available, I'll just sign in and blog about it without draft.

14. How often do you completely scratch or delete drafts or blog post ideas ?
Nope...quite rare I do such a thing, unless I think that it exposed too much of private matters or its a very lousy post.


15. If you had to leave your blog in your will to another blogger, who would you choose ?
No one. I will like it to be stopped with a final post.


16. Are there other blogs that you feel are similar to yours in content, style, or voice ?
Some of them, but their style are much more simpler and lesser words to express their feelings. I use lots of words to express my own feeling about something, and turns out the whole post was full of craps. The thing I need to learn now is to simplify my post, but still holding the main point in it.


17. Has anything surprised you since you started blogging ?
Yeah, i never thought there might be so much of people reading my blog ! Till now, I still thought that I'm the only reader of my own blog with a few others that I knew they're following it. Its amazing how your blog can influence people and in the mean time, got influenced by other blogs too !


18. What are your goals or plans for your blog going forward ?
I hope that I can blog until I feel like stopping it. And for my goal, I would like to gather more traffic and earn more money through my blog !


19. Do you make any money from your blog ? (optional) about how much a month ?
Hell yeah !!! The income was not stable, sometimes I might get a few Ringgits a week, or a month... it depends.


20. What blogging system do you use ?
Blogger, duh . . .


21. How did you come up your blog name ?
When I created this blog after got inspired by YCW, I start to think that I'm now a university student and since all the stuffs I've been blogging are all about my friends and my life in the university, so i decided to name it "My Life as a University Student". After I learnt some Japanese last semester, I think that I should change my blog name to Japanese, and so it became "私の大学生のLife".


22. How many blogs do you have? What was your peak ?
Currently 2, one from Friendster and another is this. And sorry, I dont think I understand the second question.


23. Are you having as much fun as when you started ?
Nope, I had MUCH MORE fun as when I started ! Always be amazed by other people's blog and their blogging skills...it was so much fun to get to know them and making friends with the bloggers worldwide !


24. Where do you find other bloggers like you ?
They leave a comment on my post and Chat Box. They visit me, and I visit back, fiar and square. Besides, I also post my blog post on Nuffnang's Innit. You can meet all sorts of pro blogger there blogging about anything !


25. What’s your one wish when it comes to blogging ?
To make my blog a place where I note down all of my happy memories together with my friends and happenings that I've once encountered. And of course, I wanted to earn more money too ! So remember to click on the ads you found in my blog ! Thanks in advance.

Gag Jie (Gag 姐) Returns !!!

Moral of the video:

Yup, hand-made, by myself !

While walking around after me, Freezie and Lyn Fay having our lunch at Jusco, Ipoh last Sunday, we bump ourself into a gift shop and we spotted a hand-made teddy accesories and materials in a box. I decided to buy one and try my luck in making one myself.

Surprised me, the materials inside the box are enough to make 4 teddies !!!

After got back from Jusco, I started my work on making myself a teddy.

After some time of cutting the fabric, sewing, stuffing the cotton, sewing, making knots after sewing, cutting the fabric again and stuffs ... the first of the 4 teddies was born !

So, making yourself a teddy wasnt that hard after all. What you need is just the materials, time and of course, patient and determination !

Disney's The Princess and the Frog Review

As a typical Disney animation lover, I've been looking forward to this animation ever since the first trailer been put on Youtube.

#Tiana and Prince Naveen.#

As you all may be know already, the story revolves around the Prince and the not-really-a-princess-at-first Tiana. While persuing her dream to open a restaurant, she met a frog who claim itself himself as the Prince Naveen that been turned into a frog by a witch doctor.

As we know the fairy tale of the Frog Prince, "a kiss from the princess breaks the spell and the frog turns into a gorgeous prince" and bla bla bla, happy ever after... BUT, after receiving a kiss from Tiana, the spell was not broken, Tiana herself was transformed into a frog as well !

Later on, they found themselves on a journey to search for a cure from Mama Odie that lives in the swam. With the help from their animal friend Louis the alligator and Raymond the firefly, they developed a friendship and found Mama Odie. She told Naveen that he must kiss a princess before midnight to be a human again, but the clock is ticking . . .


Well, shouldnt be spoiling much of the audience who havent watch the animation just yet !

The thing to note in the movie was King Triton from The Little Mermaid, please spot it with your eyes and you'll find that its interesting to have cross reference in the animation. I once read before that there's also the magic lamp from Alladin, but I couldnt find any inside perhaps due to it appears in the animation just for a few seconds...

Another thing is that, congratulations to Disney as Tiana was the first African-American princess ! *Yay~~* Besides that, also take a note on Tiana's childhood friend Charlotte. Even though she's far more richer than Tiana and has everything in the world from her father, but she's not jealous with Tiana but instead, very generous indeed. Never seen such a good character being developed: rich but generous, helpful and not selfish.

Next, the graphics ! Even though its not as good as Avatar for having it 3D nor a CGI animation like Final Fantasy VII Advent Children or Cloudy and a chance with Meatballs, a normal + original 2D animation from Disney was enough to bring back the childhood memories from me with Disney.

Finally, the songs in the animation. Almost every character sings in the animation, its pretty fun enjoying the songs and it suits the storyline perfectly.


So, I rate this animation The Princess and the Frog from Disney a 9.5 out of 10. The animation was quite short, and I was looking froward for a little longer plot before I watch it. But its OK, it satisfied me with a beautiful and almost touching ending.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Yes, I know I've abandoned my blog again after the "baichilization" and "debaichilization" post... the thing is I'm studying for my final exams (as if its true) !

Eh hem...

Anyway, my last paper was finished today officially at 11.30am morning and its time to celebrate ! (Wohoo~~~) How ? Watch the video below !



Dont tell me you dont know what is this... its Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows' movie teaser trailer ! How could you so simply missed the big fact ! OMG~

According to Wikipedia, this movie teaser was released along the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince's blue ray disc. And for the first time (and the last time too) ever, Deathly Hallows is going to be a 2 part movie, which will be released on November 2010 and July 2011 as stated in the teaser.

Original cast was back and we'll be seeing our favorite Chosen One: Harry Potter once again with his best friend Ronald Weasly and Hermione Granger.

11. Hogwarts final battle (Lets see how Yates finish up the mess of not showing Harry keeping Advanced Potion Making inside the Room of Requirement...the book mentioned a tiara, and the tiara was used in the final story. Wakaka~)

Final Fantasy XIII

Before we kick start our day, let us have a look at this video first.



Wow, extraordinaryly superb graphics huh ? Yeah, this is the work of Square Enix: the long-waited Final Fantasy XIII. If you're wondering what's that song's name, its "Kimi Ga Iru Kara" by relatively young J-pop artist Sayuri Sugawara. Romanji lyrics can be found on the YouTube site where I got the video from.

Ever since the start of Final Fantasy X or X-2, seems like the later Final Fantasy games for the major gaming console are having their own theme song. One of my research also found that the once-a-very-famous-artist in Hong Kong also performed a song for the previous game Final Fantasy VIII. Her name is Faye Wong, 王菲, with the English song "Eyes on me". Never search never know huh ? Quite a surprise to me too...

After seeing the video, I think that the game play is going to be very fun since you're not playing those polygonal characters walking around polygonal backgrounds back in PS1. As the first ever Final Fantasy game that enter PS3, I bet that the team has put a lot of effort while making this up along with Agito (for the PSP) and Versus (for PS3 too), which will be released sometime in 2010.

The story of Final Fantasy XIII to me is not very clear, but the synopsis of the game could be found anywhere if you search for it. At least it's very clear that the game isnt about politics and power anymore as in Final Fantasy XII, which for me is quite a boring theme for the game. By the way, summoning in the game looks cool too. Lightning: Odin, Snow: Shiva, Hope: Alexander, Sazh: Brynhildr, Yun Fang: Bahamut and Vanille: Hecatoncheir. Both Brynhildr and Hecatoncheir are new summons that joined in the Final Fantasy universe.

Oh ya, the "kissing scene" in the video, I was a little happy that Final Fantasy games are involved in a kissing scene mouth to mouth...I'm not sure about the previous game but a kissing scene in CGI cutscene for a PS3 game, its gotta be good huh ? And, its very romantic to do so surrounded by fireworks too ! =D

Saying about music, "Kimi Ga Iru Kara" and "Eternal Love" are the theme songs for the game, both performed by Sayuri Sugawara. The English version Final Fantasy XIII's theme song will be Leona Lewis' "My Hands". Pretty strange huh, Leona Lewis in Final Fantasy. I listened to the song in YouTube and it sounds beautiful, but come to think that its a Final Fantasy theme song, I still couldnt get use to it. Haha~ And lastly, Final Fantasy XIII is the only game where the famous composer Noubo Uematsu didnt take part in composing the musics.
