回顾 2014

是的我知道这篇文写得有点迟了，但是你没听说过“迟到好过没有到”吗？*明明就在找借口*

话说，2014 年我自己本身有很大的突破：年头换了一份新工作，第一次搭飞机，也终于有时间做自己喜欢的东西。废话不多说，直接看照片回顾吧~~

#《一路有你》这部本地制作的电影算不错了。里面有很多我们马来西亚的风土人情和文化，而且故事也编得很好，进场看戏的人都会被感动到。大马新一代歌手颜慧萍的歌声也很有吸引力，因此我也支持下下买了原声带回来，因为我婆婆也喜欢她的歌。#

#今年情人节和朋友俩度过。我还记得我们在 Sakae Sushi 吃东西，这盘寿司好像是 Mango Soft Shell Crab Maki  之类的。#

#四月公司 annual dinner 在沙巴总部，我们在 KL 工作的必须飞去那里参加。如果来回机票不是公司出的我想我都不会去啊！第一次坐飞机的经历其实不会很恐怖，只是 take off 和 landing 的时候会怕怕罢了。我和另外三个同事也趁机会拿多几天假期在沙巴旅行，我身后的那座就是沙巴著名的神山 Mt. Kinabalu 啦~#

#这个小可爱是有个人买麦当当吃送给我的，看到它就会不由自主地笑起来。#

#六月中人生第二次搭飞机，也是人生中第二次出国与朋友来到了台湾这个热情的国家。小吃多，人礼貌，风景美，交通又方便... 第一次旅行的朋友来到这里真的不会失踪不会迷路，因为这里的人一定会把你带到你要去的地方，而且还会介绍你什么地方有什么东西玩，什么东西吃。他妈的我真的舍不得离开啊~~#

#第一次很舍得花钱去看超水准的交响音乐会。试问人生有几个机会可以在马来西亚看 Distant Worlds 啊？目前你们错过了两个哦！自从初中一开始接触 Final Fantasy VII 过后就开始迷了这系列。Final Fantasy 独特的就是它的故事情节，角色之间的互动，优美的音乐和不断创新追求完美逼真的画风。我很努力告诉自己不能流泪，结果当音乐前奏响起时眼泪已经在翻滚了。那种感动我无法用语言形容... 现场听演奏出来熟悉的音乐真的感觉很梦幻，我怎么也想不到三个小时就这么过了！#

#同事们都说有个马来当口卖的 nasi kukus 很好吃，结果最后自己也尝试到了传说中美味的 nasi kukus！它果然名不虚传啊~~~#

#网上认识了一个朋友，有段时间经常到他家打电动煮饭游泳。也因为经常游泳的关系，原本不怎么会游泳的都被他教会了一些些。我开始想念你家的泳池了啊~~#

#被嘲笑这是个不搭配的晚餐：干捞榨菜猪肉碎米粉 + 马铃薯泥。我吃得开心就好啊... 其实味道也不会很难吃啊...#

#自从买了个电脑后会开始迷惑不知道要玩什么游戏，因为想玩的游戏太多，但是时间不够啊！！！#

#讨厌... 最讨厌做 OT 然后看到这个画面。总觉得空荡的走廊背后有个黑影在跟随着我... 不就是自己的影子吗？#

#刚过不久的十二月再次坐飞机去了 Langkawi 这个免税岛。你看过 menu 里面啤酒是比果汁便宜的吗？这岛说小不小，说大不大，但它还真的有很多很漂亮的海滩和岛屿。回家前买了一大堆的巧克力和几瓶 apple cider... 如果要用四个字形容，那一定是“满载而归”。#

Eyes on Me

昨天终于把 Final Fantasy VIII 破完了,感觉就像读完了一本小说。故事里的主角都是很平凡的学生们,为了拯救世界被毁灭而踏上了一段不平凡的旅程。六位主角也从开始的陌生,孤独,寂寞,害羞,冷酷,无情,争狠,吵架变成了关心,开朗,乐观,相依,相爱,照顾,保护和爱护。最后大家都齐心的把女巫给打败,把世界时间还原。

FF VIII 最吸引我的除了王菲演唱的主题曲《Eyes on Me》以外就是男主角 Squall 和女主角 Riona 的爱情故事了,当然也不忘了搞笑的 Laguna 和 Raine 悲伤的故事啦。话说,《Eyes on Me》是史上第一首演唱的 Final Fantasy 主题曲。也就从 FF VIII 开始每一部都有它们自己的主题曲了。

#两人第一次相遇就跳舞了。#

两位主人翁都教了大家,自己的幸福爱情是要自己争取回来的,不要等到失去了才来后悔,因为过去式的东西只能回味,不能改变过去已经发生了的事实,要珍惜当下,放眼未来,活得精彩。

幸福的爱情其实很简单,但是即简单又复杂。也许爱情就是要经过考研才能磨练出两个相爱的人吧 ... 现在要等 FF X/X-2 HD Remastered 了。期待期待~~~

Cat, Ribbons and Song

Everytime when there's ensemble practice, I'll found the same cat lurking around listening to our ensemble and plays with us. She's cute, quiet and doesnt afraid of humans unlike her siblings which jumps away whenever I approaches them.


I arrived early yesterday evening and I start my practice from the basics.  Moments later I saw her coming near my feet and she brushed herself on my feet. Her fur was soft, honestly, so the feeling was quite comfortable, haha~ Then she jumped on to the chair next to me and sat there staring at me. "I dont have any food for you, so sorry," I told her. She seems to understand it, but still sitting there listening to the songs I played.

They say she might be pregnant since she's having quite a big stomach. Talking about pregnancy, the First Aid Society organized quite a huge event this week around Block D and E, focusing on the HIV and AIDS prevention, awareness of personal health and first aid knowledge. I got some free gifts from their booth which I've been wanted for so long since last week.

Yeah, it might sound silly... since almost everyone that I knew got it but not me, it gives me the urge to get one for my bag too. And how lucky am I to get one from Sensei (since she already got one and she's receiving another again) that she pasted on my bag. 

#There it goes the Red Ribbon and my Soul Eater, Riku's Keyblade from Kingdom Hearts.#

And by the way, we're receiving quite a lot of small gifts along the booths set up around Block D and E. Here're some of the bookmark design that I got from them.

#There's more design of the bookmarks given out, and the most funny design is the condom-shaped ones !#

Talking about condom, they're having a photo-shooting session with a Condom mascot which cost RM 2, and they claim that the money they collected will be donated to the charity. 

Then Rannie-chan tells us a joke: what do you call a person wearing a condom mascot costume ? A penis !!! But if the question was "What is the name of the person wearing a condom mascot costume", the answer could be Dick, Dicky or Dickson !!!

And lastly, I realized that they played a song that I liked very much but havent got it in my MP3 yet. Two is Better Than One, performed by Boys Like Girls featuring Taylor Swift. Too bad that Taylor isnt in the MV, but its still a great song though. 

And yes... I do believe that two is really better than one, and I really cant live without you. =)

Week 2 Recap

Its been a busy week, although its just Week 2 of the semester !!! I'm assigned to most of the days to be a helper in the Chinese Orchestra Unit booth being set up in Block C Cafeteria for the last 5 days. 

#Seems like the decoration manager's creativity sharply rose !!! While every other clubs used black as background, Sensei used white instead, and the effect wasnt that bad at all !#

I was asked to go on stage perform to attract the attention of the crowd in cafeteria and for promotion of our Chinese Orchestra Unit among the students. Managed to play "To Zanarkand" from Final Fantasy X on DiZi with slight mistakes unnoticeable. Here's some pictures taken during the recruitment drive.

Nothing much to add on for the week, but the thing for sure is: I dont want my FYP !!! Can I just skip my FYP and graduate !?!?

And by the way, Fermentation just seems like another Mathematics subject from our foundation with lots of differentiation, integration and previously learnt calculations during Enzymology classes. Gotta pay full attention in the class or else I'll found myself lost in the middle of a pile of notes...

Ahead on Our Way

Found this piece of music few days back from YouTube. Is a relaxing, calming, comforting, loving and peaceful music played on the piano.


Listening to this piece reminds me of playing my first ever Square Enix games: Final Fantasy VII. This song always played when I entered a certain town in the very beginning of the game. Below is the original version from the game's soundtrack. A great thanks to Nobuo Uematsu-sama for composing this piece.





I wish I could play back this awesome game again, for its nicely planned plot twist and beautifully arranged soundtracks.


To be honest, Square Enix was once my dream working place just because of their beautiful gaming graphics and soundtracks. Lol~~~

Everlasting ? [Offline Blog for 18/11]

Thats the first thing I thought of while thinking of a title for the day. Doesnt matter what it suppose to meant in the end... Anyway, I've noticed that I've updated my blog less frequent than last month, so I'm here, updating my blog.

Been practicing DiZi not very often these few weeks. Other than practicing the music sheets given by the teacher, I've also found my own sheets such as some songs from the Final Fantasy series. And today I downloaded some other sheets: Canon in D and Wish from S.E.N.S.. Translated half of them and tried to play it on my own not long ago, it sounds right and beautiful, but I'm not familiar with both of the songs, so I'm not sure how should the tempo be...

Other than practicing DiZi, I also found that one of the interns from USCI actually plays CO instruments too ! She said she's been learning GuZheng since Form 2, but she never joins any performance before. More over, USCI doesnt have any CO club, her CO future is very limited. I hope that next time when we UTAR is having our own performance again, she can come to Kampar and watch it...

So much to tell, so much to say... but, I just dont feel like writing it out here.

Its Halloween ! [Offline Blog for 31/10]

Yeah, today is Halloween and guess what song is playing inside my head ? There's nothing else but "This is Halloween" from Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas.


Its Halloween... so what ?



Thats all... thats it. Staying home starring at the phone waiting for the reply, but it just doesnt seems to be replying soon. So I took out my laptop and played Final Fantasy The 4 Heroes of Light. The graphics are cute, gameplay is impressive and not forgetting the awesome storyline. Below is the game's trailer that I found.



When I got stucked a while, I grab my DiZi (Chinese flute) and practiced a few songs including those songs that I've translated my own from the website myself. And when you're talking about Chinese Orchestra, recently I found that most of those TVB drama that took place in the ancient China period sure contains the background music featuring Chinese Orchestra. All you need to do is to focus more on the background music played on those drama, and you'll be inspired by the beauty of CO...

Doesnt know what to write anymore, even if I do, those ideas and points are not suitable for this post. So... Happy Halloween and have a great weekday ahead !

Theme of Love

Been addicted to one of the Final Fantasy IV's soundtrack lately, and the name is "Theme of Love". This is a piece that touches the hearts of many, and of course, it touches mine as well. I've found several versions on Youtube, and I'll post them all here.

Each and every version of the same piece of music are performed beautifully, especially the orchestral version. The thing I admire the most is the cello and flute.

I never knew there's a version with vocals until I found Tsuki no Akari... And if you asked me which one I prefer the most, of course the original piece from the DS.

Since I'm sooooo into this song, I've found some flute music score of the piece and translated it into the Chinese Orchestral version. I tried performing it myself on DiZi and it sounds perfect. Should practice more so I could sharpen my skills, since the song is quite tricky to perform in DiZi. Haha~

Trip to Ipoh Parade

Woke up by the alarm of my phone and found myself having breakfast 10 minutes later and ready to meet Sensei at Scotty's house at 9am.

We planned to go to Ipoh Parade since its already semester break. When I arrived at Scotty's house, the weather is nice, its perfect for outing.

#If the peak of the mountain can be seen, its a good sign coz its a nice weather best for outings.#

After Sensei arrived, 3 of us walked towards the bus station not far away and waited for a bus to go Old Town.

#... mud cow shit when we're crossing the road. Who's that lucky unlucky motorcycle or car that pass by this piece of shit ?#

After a few minutes of waiting at the bus stop, we get into the bus and head to Old Town to take another bus to Ipoh. Its my first time riding a bus in Ipoh, its been fun and we took some pictures while we're on the bus.

Anyway, reached Ipoh after that and we took another bus to the Ipoh Old Town and searched for the restaurant which Sensei said they're popular for selling Ipoh white coffee. We did found it after some search and a help from the locals. The shop is packed with people and we managed to find ourself a seat somewhere inside and we ordered an iced white coffee each.

There's another thing that we found popular in this shop is the 猪肠粉, which we didnt get a chance to taste since it was sold out. And one thing about this 猪肠粉 stall in this restaurant is, the daughter of the stall owner is the roommate of Sensei's older sister some time ago !

One thing to remember though while eating in restaurants in Old Town: if any strangers started to ask for money from you or wanna sell of some products to you, just ignore it if you do not wish to give any money or buy stuffs from them. I dont know why, I always seem to be the target of choice instead of Sensei and Scotty...perhaps Sensei was right, my face looks too kind or something...

After having out lunch, we took a taxi and reached Ipoh Parade in minutes. Guess what, looks like the Christmas' atmosphere was still circling around us !

We randomly visited quite a lot of boutique shops and I bought myself a silver-white coloured tie. Then we pass by quite a lot of anime shop and gift shop too. The thing that catches me is the figurinies !!! >w<

#Yay, Bleach ! Spotted Renji Arabai in bankai mode, quite a number of Kurosaki Ichigo, Kuchiki Byakuya, Hitsugaya Toshiro blocked by Matsumoto, Aizen, Kuchiki Rukia and some other Espada.#

After some walk, we found a very special shop...Sensei asked me to stand infront of that shop so she could get a picture of it. The people inside the shop was looking out while I posed and we quickly run away from the shop to avoid being caught or something...and here's the result.

The special thing about this shop is the name. Not clear enough ? How about this !?

Clearer now ? The shop was named after my name...and both Sensei and Scotty was making fun of me by saying that: that shop was opened by me without informing them. I found it funny too...haha~

P/S: Number 30 is Kiroro, not Keroro though...

After had our dinner around 5pm, we walked again and found ourselves a very big balloon clown.

And then, we entered a magazine shop and Scotty found something interesting... some eggs from this machine !

It need 2 tokens to get an egg from it and the egg contains one of these 5 Bleach character's keychain. Scotty was so excited and he bought the tokens from the counter and started to try his luck to get his favorite character.

#The token was stuck ? No ... ? Good.#

#Oh...thats the keychain that Scotty got from the machine ! Its not his favorite but he accepted it with joy. If there's Rukia or Kon or Ishida inside, for sure I'll get myself some token and try my luck on it !#

Its been late and we went back Kampar with taxi and bus. At Kampar Old Town bus station, we're so tired and lucky enough there's a taxi some distance away. We hop on it and back to Westlake with no stratches. We should go again someday, it was fun !!!

Final Fantasy XIII

Before we kick start our day, let us have a look at this video first.



Wow, extraordinaryly superb graphics huh ? Yeah, this is the work of Square Enix: the long-waited Final Fantasy XIII. If you're wondering what's that song's name, its "Kimi Ga Iru Kara" by relatively young J-pop artist Sayuri Sugawara. Romanji lyrics can be found on the YouTube site where I got the video from.

Ever since the start of Final Fantasy X or X-2, seems like the later Final Fantasy games for the major gaming console are having their own theme song. One of my research also found that the once-a-very-famous-artist in Hong Kong also performed a song for the previous game Final Fantasy VIII. Her name is Faye Wong, 王菲, with the English song "Eyes on me". Never search never know huh ? Quite a surprise to me too...

After seeing the video, I think that the game play is going to be very fun since you're not playing those polygonal characters walking around polygonal backgrounds back in PS1. As the first ever Final Fantasy game that enter PS3, I bet that the team has put a lot of effort while making this up along with Agito (for the PSP) and Versus (for PS3 too), which will be released sometime in 2010.

The story of Final Fantasy XIII to me is not very clear, but the synopsis of the game could be found anywhere if you search for it. At least it's very clear that the game isnt about politics and power anymore as in Final Fantasy XII, which for me is quite a boring theme for the game. By the way, summoning in the game looks cool too. Lightning: Odin, Snow: Shiva, Hope: Alexander, Sazh: Brynhildr, Yun Fang: Bahamut and Vanille: Hecatoncheir. Both Brynhildr and Hecatoncheir are new summons that joined in the Final Fantasy universe.

Oh ya, the "kissing scene" in the video, I was a little happy that Final Fantasy games are involved in a kissing scene mouth to mouth...I'm not sure about the previous game but a kissing scene in CGI cutscene for a PS3 game, its gotta be good huh ? And, its very romantic to do so surrounded by fireworks too ! =D

Saying about music, "Kimi Ga Iru Kara" and "Eternal Love" are the theme songs for the game, both performed by Sayuri Sugawara. The English version Final Fantasy XIII's theme song will be Leona Lewis' "My Hands". Pretty strange huh, Leona Lewis in Final Fantasy. I listened to the song in YouTube and it sounds beautiful, but come to think that its a Final Fantasy theme song, I still couldnt get use to it. Haha~ And lastly, Final Fantasy XIII is the only game where the famous composer Noubo Uematsu didnt take part in composing the musics.

Final Fantasy III DS + Random Update

Didnt really got the mood to update my blog these days, we're getting more and more busy as the due date for everything started to come ! Hey, did I forgotten those mid term tests !? Oh heck ! Anyway, a small update for the week:

The above clip was the opening for Final Fantasy III for Nintendo DS. Believe it, its Nintendo DS ! Yeah for Square-Enix as their Final Fantasy and Kingdom Heart series proofs that Nintendo DS' graphic could be that nice ! They always show us the potential of our gaming console could go further, the best would be Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories for the Nintendo GBA. Never seen such a cut scene in GBA games before.

Currently addicted to Final Fantasy III DS, I know its not the time for it but, I'll try not to play too often. Tests coming up this week, so does the due date for the usual chemistry report and assignments.

Better get started to continue on the game go revision on chemistry first, 15 sets of slides needed to be revised and memorised.

Final Fantasy Songs on You Tube !

Its been some days since the last update, been busying with reports and mid term test lately. I think they're 3 more mid term to go for the coming week and 2 reports to be submitted ! What a rush...

Anyway, I've been looking through Final Fantasy series' instrumental song lately on You Tube. Cant remember why am I searching for it already but, I did found some nice ones and here it goes !

Lets start it slow with Kingdom Hearts' favorite theme, "Dearly Beloved" and "Hikari".

#Its the same with the one above, is just that I would like to share this video coz the girl dressed up herself as Tifa and playing "Tifa's theme"...Nice hair she got there, too bad she just played till half way.#

#Final Fantasy VII's "Main theme" on piano. Nothing much to say, this song is kinda like designed for piano only, nothing would be better than piano itself for this song !#


#Final Fantasy VII's "Aerith's theme" on piano. Though Aerith died in the game, her spirit is still with us ! Her theme song is the most touched song you could found in Final Fantasy VII series.#


#Hey, this is new, I never thought that "Aerith's theme" could be played using violin ! And this girl here is quite talented, she recorded quite a number of videos in You Tube with her violin on several famous themes of Final Fantasy series.#


#After that, I come across with this guy (or izzit a girl ?) who're playing with 2 guitars (or whatever it is named). Final Fantasy series "Chocoboo's theme" sounds nice on guitars !#


#Now lets get our self a little darker now, Final Fantasy VII's "Mako Reactor" on piano. This guy played very well !#


#You think "Mako Reactor" is scary, try this ! Final Fantasy VII's "Rufus' Welcoming Ceremony" on guitar ! I tried to find piano version but still, guitar's version suits the best.#


#Back to those darker instrumentals...Final Fantasy VI's "Decisive Battle remixed" on piano. I think this Japaneseg guy a little insane, coz he could play it so well !#


#Another version of Final Fantasy VI's "Decisive Battle remix", but this time on violin ! This dude could play it nicely too !#

#Finally...the last song for the day, Final Fantasy VII's "One-winged Angel", the ultimate theme of Final Fantasy VII series and Sephiroth's favorite. This song is best listened under orchestra and nothing else. Enjoy.#

The best graphics in Final Fantasy that I've ever seen (so far). Can you believe that THATS what you'll get when the game released !? I cant stop imagine that you'll be playing with the graphics more to like those in Advent Children than Final Fantasy X...its just way so cool !

Cant really say that I'm waiting for this game, since I dont have a PS3...but if you do have one, Final Fantasy XIII is a game worth to buy and play. For the graphics, for the story...for the hardwork of those game developers ...

Rating for this game though it havent even released ? 9.8 out of 10 !!!

Complaining on KH + First Day of Degree

Thats it, Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, specially created for the NDS gaming console. I'm pretty excited about the release yesterday and getting more excited once I found a downloadable ROM of the game. Though there're some problem while downloading but finally, I get myself a copy and started to play it it using the emulator !

BUT...unfortunately, the game only playable till this title screen.

When I checked the forums I found out that Square Enix placed something like "Anti-Piracy" on it, making it unplayable using the emulator for computer gamers. Not sure whether its playable using the real NDS console for the downloaded file, but the main purpose of it is to stop piracy.

For people who doesnt know how to crack the code using special software, they got no choice but to wait for professionals to do it and then upload it somewhere in the net. I tried to patch it my own, but failed to do so, since the instructions of patching are confusing !

Anyway, paid the fees and registered myself in UTAR this morning. I'm having the mixture feeling of "being a UTARians" and "an outsider wondering around UTAR" before and after registered myself. Met Mr. Able in the cafeteria with Jest and Sensei. Didnt really thought of meeting a lecturer we known in Kampar before, so its a like a surprise for us. He's also happy to met us here. Then I finally reached the lecture hall of Kampar campus, one word, "huge".

A little dissapointed on something...dont wanna say it loud here. Cant write more on it too, since you lot might be able to guess it out. Remaining it as "secret" would be a better choice. Haha...its a good day though, since its my first day becoming a Degree student !

Resident Evil, Again and Again ! [Offline Blog for 16/4]

I know I'm hooked to Resident Evil recently which, makes me a little more alert in the night when I'm going to buy water and supper ... but I cant control myself not to hook on it, coz the storyline is just ... too nice !

Eh hem...

Well, have you ever seen a person playing a game just to know the story of the game ? Thats me ! I've been playing RPGs since I'm able to play PS1, and thats the only game that I've been playing all these years, emitting those fighting and puzzle games. The first RPG game that I played - Final Fantasy VII for PS1, casted a curse deep inside of me, the curse that makes me playing games just for their stories !

After FF VII, I've been looking for the other titles in the series that interested me. Found FF IX later on and finished it till disc 2 (out of 4 disc). Later on, I come across the game titled Resident Evil, a horror third person shooting game. The first Resident Evil title that I actually played before but never completed was Resident Evil 2 – NEMESIS, with main character Jill Valentine.

Whats with the story that hooks me up ?

Its all started in July 1998, where Racoon City's citizen were attacked by a group of dogs, which actually eats the human flesh; later on, people were eaten alive by a group of several people. Racoon City was a dead zone where no one can enter and leaves.

Thats the time where the S.T.A.R.S cop Jill Valentine, Chris Redfield, Barry Burton and Albert Wesker were lost contact in a middle of a mission in Raccon City. They end up in a mansion where the Umbrella Corporation was doing the research about the biological weapon - T-Virus. In the end of the day, they found out that it was Wesker's idea to lead the research about T-Virus and the accident inside the mansion released the virus out to public.

Umbrella Corporation, the leading medicine producer of Racoon City at the outside, and the one who're conducting research on the viruses without public known. The whole Umbrella Corporation was then collapsed and defeated in the later on series. But, the data about the viruses were taken and a new company continue on the research.

Lots of stuffs been happening coz whenever a company developing the vaccines or viruses taken down, another will arise to continue on the research and come out with a more incredible viruses.

For Resident Evil 3 – Extinction, the movie adapted a lot of fighting weapons inside. From the usual handgun to shotgun, then flamethrower and lastly, knife ! For the infectees, there's been the normal zombies, zombie dogs and crows. There's a added zombie with little intelligent that attacks more fierce and aggressive !

In the CGI movie Resident Evil - Degeneration, main character from Resident Evil 4, Leon Kennedy partner up with Claire Redfield (Chris Redfield's sister) to take down the company that claim that they created a vaccines for T-Virus - WilPharma. The founder of WilPharma secretly kept a dose of G-Virus inside the company that leads to disaster in the end of the story.

Ah...I better control myself or I'll non-stop crapping about the stuffs that you may think its boring ! Anyway, seeing Leon Kennedy in action makes me wanna play Resident Evil 4, as he was the main character.

Rating about the storyline ? 9.3 out of 10 !

How I calculated that 0.3 out ? Instinct told me to put so…hehe
