3 Good News !?

Yeah I know, even myself also found it long enough and its hard to style it using wax. So I went for a haircut just before the badminton game starts. And here it goes:

Its been a real long time since I'm in a good badminton game with my friends. Me and Sensei booked the court in KTAR and we played badminton with our CO chairman and his gf and Harley.

2 freaking days, 4 freaking hours, 2 freaking tired hands and legs... but in the end, we had fun.

While people are scratching their heads thinking hard what to do with their industrial training same as me, I received a miss call from the company that I went for the interview. Since its a miss call, so I called back the company looking forward for a good news.

"Hello, I didnt received the call from your company this morning..."

"May I know who's on the line ?"

"_____ (my name here)."

"Oh ! We're here to let you know that you're accepted for your industrial training placement."

"What ?"

"You're accepted for your industrial training placement."

"Oh !! Thank you very much !"

I asked a few more question back to the officer and ended the call in less than 1 minute. I was so freaking happy that I was accepted. Since I'm in a middle of a chat with my temporary roommate (should I just gave him a name already ? Lawrence that is...) Lawrence with the damned Internet connection, I told him the news and he was glad. Next stop is telling my grandma, and she was glad too.

What a beautiful day, isnt it ?

I'm hoping for my 4th good news coming up: the result of my Resident Evil: Afterlife blogging contest hosted by Nuffnang ! If my post was chosen then I'll be able to go for the premire screening of the movie in 3D ! My first 3D movie ever watched in cinema... Best of luck then.

200th Post !!!

When flipping back to my first post for the blog, I found out that my blog is now officially 2 years old on 23rd August !!! *Happy Birthday bloggie~~~*

And somehow coincidence or faith, this is the 200th post for my bloggie too ! *Congratulations !!!*

Time do passes by pretty fast huh ? Haha~

Mmmm... let me update about my trip back to my hometown for the industrial training interview for those who're curious today.


Its a Monday morning, me and my temporary roommate get ourself packed, called a cab and went to Old Town for breakfast. We bought the 10.30am bus ticket and reached Bukit Jalil around 1pm+.

While I was still thinking that its-been-a-while-since-I'm-back-to-my-hometown, crazy taxi drivers and promoters started to approach both of us.

"Where you wanna go lengzai ?"

"Come and take one of this..."

I was shocked and my temporary roommate quickly lead me towards the ticketing booth to buy a return ticket back to Kampar. A more worse situation is here, almost everyone inside the ticketing booth are asking you "where you wanna go lengzai ?".

With some effort of ignoring them and a nimble feet, I bought a ticket and get ourselves out of that place. Now that we need to go to somewhere else, hence we asked for some taxi drivers...

"RM 45 lor... why you dont want ? Its standard price already, you go ask all the taxis also the same price wan lar..."

"We're students lar..." said my temporary roommate while we're leaving the taxi drivers. "We walk further a bit and find another taxi."

We did found another taxi which is much cheaper compared to RM 45. We hopped on and reached our destination. Found a photostat shop and had some of my documents photocopied, and I went for the interview alone.

After filling in a job application form, I waited to be call into the room for interview. "There it goes my first job interview," I said to myself.

The receptionist leads me towards a room which looks like a meeting room for the office with a lady inside, on the table was my particulars, resume and documents.

"Do not sit until I was told so," I told myself. "Smile !"

"Sit please."

After thanked the interviewer, I sat down on the chair she pointed and the interview starts.

She asked some questions which I'm not very sure how to answer, but everytime I answered them, she'll smile and said "OK, OK...", which reminds me of our Genetic Master that lectures us this semester. I tried to be professional as much as I could and not showing any nervousness on my face during the whole interview session. "Take it as having some chat with a friend..." I said to myself.

Finally the interviewer said, "is there any questions you want to ask ?".

"May I know what's your name please miss ?"

She laughed, and she introduced herself.

After asking some questions, she then told me about the task that I'll need to complete for becoming part of the organization as a trainee and some cooperate culture in the company.

"You'll be notified in a week or two for the results."

"OK, thank you. Hope to see you again."

I pushed back the chair and get myself out of the office with a thanks to the receptionist. Called my temporary roommate and we meet up in a shop selling Chinese Orchestra instruments.

OMEG !!! All the instruments were so beautifully crafted, the music that they make were so nice !!! I picked up a DiZi and simply played a few notes as the shop owner said I can play it... the music produced was so smooth, so pretty.

The owner said I could have some discount since my temporary roommate worked there before. We waved goodbye and I went to my temporary roommate's house for a night stay. The first thing I noticed in his house was... PS3 !!! Never in my life that I touched one, the thing that excites me is that, there's a Biohazzard 5: Alternative Edition (Resident Evil 5 extended version).

"I know you wanna play, but let me figure out how to switch it on first."

After some trial and testing on the high-tech gadget, the game is on and I selected a chapter to continue on exploring the story of Resident Evil 5. Considered lucky to finished off quite a lot of sub chapters in a few hours time, gotta come back to finish up the last chapter next time.

The next day morning, my temporary roommate brought me to the restaurant that sells the proclaimed "very delicious chicken rice". We ordered it and there it comes.

After finished our lunch, we waved good bye and I got myself back Kampar alone while he went back to PJ.

I skipped class for 2 days just for the interview. I hope that its giving me something good in return so that it is worth for me to skip those classes, especially Enzymology (though I'm not really like the class) and Molecular Biology (shitto, I missed LOTS of hand-written notes !).

Fighting Umbrella Corporation

Umbrella Corporation is a mega corporation that deals with the marketing of pharmaceuticals, medical hardware, defence and computer. Their more public face products will be cosmetics, consumer products and food. With the resources they gain from each marketing field, Umbrella used it on the genetic engineering and biological weapon research undercovered.

The greedy Umbrella Corporation will do everything evil to get money and control, even if they need to wipe out the world's population for their own gain. In order to restore the peace, Alice fights along with her friends after being infected by the T-virus and gifted with superhuman abilities.

If I were to choose between Claire and Alice to fight against the evil Umbrella Corporation, I'll choose Alice.

#My name is Alice.#

Alice is gifted with good combat and weponary skills. With these skills, I can use almost every item I found nearby me to kill the zombies. But in order to stop the chaos, killing all the zombies isnt the most effective way. Hence I'll meet the founder of Umbrella - Albert Wesker myself with my partners, and defeat him !

But the headquater where Albert Wesker stays is fully secured by the security guards and superzombies like the Executioner. So by using a gun, probably a grenade launcher ro shotgun, to kill them all would be the most effective way to enter the building.

When I went out of bullets, it leaves me no choice but to kill the zombies with a knife/sword.

#Do you mind borrowing me your axe to kill some zombies Mr. Executioner ?#

#Well if you do mind about it, I can always find a smaller knife to kill the zombies.#

When I finally got the chance to meet Albert Wesker alone, I'll cut the small talk and shoot him with my double gun without giving him any opportunity to fight back. If this doesnt work, I'll seduce him first and stab him with a small knife when he's not aware.

#Die Wesker, die Umbrella Corporation !!!#

Then quickly, I accessed to the Umbrella's mainframe and delete all the research data about the viruses and Bio-Organic Weapons. With these steps, the evil Umbrella Corporation will not be able to survive for another second without a leader and eventually, collapse !!! Bye bye evil Umbrella, the world is now restored to a more peaceful state. =D

Resident Evil: Afterlife 3D

I cant stop myself for the excitement of watching the latest Resident Evil movie soon in cinemas, with 3D !!! Remember the same 3D feeling you got while you're watching the blue human Avatar last year by James Cameron ? The same technology has been used on the latest installment of Resident Evil movie.

The world's population has been decreasing, thanks to the T-virus outbreak in Racoon City and its creator, Umbrella Corporation. In the previous movie, Claire and her gang were trying to bring the survivors to a place where they think there's no infection - Alaska. Meanwhile Alice is creating a huge army of her own clones to fight the infection while searching for any survivors and heading towards Tokyo, Japan to meet Albert Wesker, the head of Umbrella Corporation.

If you're thinking like "hey, I'm kinda remember that fella at the back"... you might seen them in the famous series back then.

If Chris Redfield is in the movie, who do you think is missing ? Yeah, his partner Jill Valentine. Sienna Guillory is reprising her role as Jill Valentine just like she did for the second movie RE: Apocalypse. And talking about Chris, one of the famous scene in the game Resident Evil 5 was the battle between Chris and Wesker. Its gotta be fun to watch the scene in 3D.

In the movie trailer, the most catchy thing I seen is the zombie named Executioner and Majini that appeared in the game Resident Evil 5. So does that means that the Umbrella Corporation in the movie already finished their parasite experimenting in Africa ? Not forgetting the Majini-like dogs too.

First Time Experience: Resident Evil 5 for Windows

Sometime in July 1998, a terrible incident happened to the once-to-be-peaceful Racoon City. T-virus outbreaks from the experiment centre in the mansion and ultimately, the whole city was destructed to prevent it from spreading.

11 years later, even though Umbrella Corp. was down, they're still some companies interested in the research of the viruses so they could make it into a bio-organic weapon. Chris Redfield, now a Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance (BSAA) agent, was sent to Africa to investigate a terrorist Bio-Organic Weapon (BOW). He meets Sheva Alomar as his partner and they set on a journey to search for the truth behind the chaos and, Jill Valentine.

Review:
For those who played the old Resident Evil game before, you'll be a little surprised that starts from Resident Evil 4, the game starts to have a "3rd person shooter" like feeling now. You control your character from over-your-shoulder perspective. And for the first time ever, you're having a partner along with you throughout the game. If one of you dies, the game ends.

The gameplay goes off by chapters, and each chapters has several sub-chapters. In each sub-chapters, players need to reach the checkpoints to complete the mission.

Zombies ? Not those slow-moving, standing-there-day-dreaming types anymore. Once they spotted you, they will ruch towards you with the meele weapons they carries along ! There's even some that could use crossbows and drive to attack you.

And since you're having a partner now, you can do all sorts of commands with her. Assist jumping, a storage and sometimes helps you to find a way out of the crowd of zombies. In addition to that, commands had been increased a lot, from kicking down a ladder to raising it up, kicking a door, struggle from a zombie ambush, jump over, punch, kick, stomp, elbow, neck twist and help your partner from danger.

For the inventory slot, since you're having a partner, you inventory has been increased and hence can carry more items with you. But one thing is, you gotta take items, heal, reload, change weapons, combine and exchange items with your partner WHILE you're battling the zombies. Its a little tough, but its fun.

Remember all the crappy cutscenes in the old times ? All the cutscenes are now very cinematic, as if you're protraying the main character of the movie with a very cool voice from the voice actor.

Whats more, you can now upgrade your weapons with the coins that you found or dropped from the dead zombies you killed. Run out of armor ? Zombies drop them too. And you could always use a knife, just that the damage isnt as much as the bullets.

Resident Evil 5 was initially released for the PS3 and XBOX 360, but the PC version was released not long after that. The game also can be played online to finish up chapters of the game. Below is an online gaming from chapter 1-1 on the XBOX 360.

Overall:

The game was fun, eventhough using the keyboard. Its hard to get control of the character at first, but once you get used to it, you'll be shooting more zombies that you expected. A little like L4D2, just that you dont walk that fast while you're shooting zombies. Choose between L4D2 and RE ? I vote RE for its storyline, L4D2 for the mobility. Ratings: 9 out of 10.

Random Updating "Lazily"

Lazy~~ Random update of what happened last week.

Really been lazy to post anything up here. Assignments are circulating under my feet wanted to be freed while the procrastinating fishing pole pulls them back beneth the ground, unseen by the naked eye.

"Talk academically" almost turns me into a living dead: zombie. Too much Resident Evil 3: Nemesis game for me I guess... Being constructed for X in this class, tomorrow's class would be constructed for Y instead, a very weird person if you ask...

After knowing Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep gonna release for PSP this coming January 2010, I went insane and couldnt stop thinking of Ven (who looked like Roxas) weilding his keyblade in a very "cool" way. Currently trying to search for the market price of PSP, if I think its worth it I'll consider about it...

Oh ya, before I forgot, we TE 4 went to KTAR for a badminton game few days ago. It was fun, never been doing anything so "healthy" since foundation's badminton game, unless you count "cycling to school" in.

In the Light and Dark [Offline Blog for 23/4]

==Light==

How nice ! I found the new book written by J.K. Rowling in MPH today ! At first I went to MPH just to look around the books and comics, I didnt really think of finding the book here ! Well, I'm looking at the comics, there's X/1999, Tsubasa, Naruto and other titles. Suddenly, I found a book (which very obvious, is not a comic) lying there, and so I picked it up...then I got a shock of my life.

I've been hoping to read this book since I found out that Rowling will write 5 wizarding tales (including the one that had been mentioned in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows) and compose it in a book. The first edition of the book was separated in 5 volumes; each volume composed with one of the tales and was handwritten and illustrated by Rowling herself. All the books were then auctioned and the money collected were donated to what sort Children stuffs.

The one I found in MPH is the printed version (of course !). It looks small, I didnt really thought that it could be that small. Thought it could be very thin, but it was around 100+ pages. Once I took it, I quickly find a place to sit down and enjoy the book. After each tale, there's Albus Dumbledore’s notes, comments and some other stuffs that relates to the tale.

Aww~~~I wish that I could slip it into my bag and walk out with it ! Just tear off the price tag and take the book with me. Remember to leave the price tag in MPH though, or I'll be caught ! What am I thinking there !? You didnt see anything, since it was striked...you didnt, didnt you !?

==Dark==

Reach home and started to play games as ever. When I was fed up on games (for today), I started to scare myself that I'll fail if I'm not doing revision. So, finally started to do revision and notes around 12.15am (which means its already 24th of April already) with snacks in hand. Anyway, am I snacking or doing notes now ?

When I'm concentrating on doing the notes, suddenly the light went "poof" and I'm engulfed by darkness. Well, not exactly darkness, as my notebook was beside me, playing my favourite songs. I was a little panic, as its the first time it occurred to me, me alone...then I found myself a touch light. With joy, I switched it on and found myself surrounded with light. Thank goodness, it still functioning.

Tried to continue on doing notes, but found out that the light emitted was not strong enough, so fed up in doing revision straight away. Walked outside my room, found out that the whole house was engulfed by darkness, I seems to be the only one who're shinning with light. Went downstairs to check the neighbouring houses, and found out that all the houses were the same.

Went back to my room and suddenly felt hot. Found myself a cardboard and started to fan myself. SMS-ed Freezie to check whether her house was the same, but I got no reply from her. Should have known it already ...

Thinking back just now when I'm walking down and up stairs, Resident Evil's scene pops into my head. Its dark...and I'm the one with the light...shinning through the hallway, then the stairs...what if there's a zombie somewhere near the corner ? Found myself in front of my room's door, looking at the other doors, could it be a zombie behind them ? Without hesitation, I opened the door and closed it behind me and started to blog about it.

10 minutes after I blog, the light turned on and I got a shock of my life. Another 10 minutes passed and I finished blogging. Time ? Its 1.30am now...Need to go McD tomorrow to post everything and most important one, read Tsubasa, Bleach and xxxHOLiC manga chapters !

Resident Evil, Again and Again ! [Offline Blog for 16/4]

I know I'm hooked to Resident Evil recently which, makes me a little more alert in the night when I'm going to buy water and supper ... but I cant control myself not to hook on it, coz the storyline is just ... too nice !

Eh hem...

Well, have you ever seen a person playing a game just to know the story of the game ? Thats me ! I've been playing RPGs since I'm able to play PS1, and thats the only game that I've been playing all these years, emitting those fighting and puzzle games. The first RPG game that I played - Final Fantasy VII for PS1, casted a curse deep inside of me, the curse that makes me playing games just for their stories !

After FF VII, I've been looking for the other titles in the series that interested me. Found FF IX later on and finished it till disc 2 (out of 4 disc). Later on, I come across the game titled Resident Evil, a horror third person shooting game. The first Resident Evil title that I actually played before but never completed was Resident Evil 2 – NEMESIS, with main character Jill Valentine.

Whats with the story that hooks me up ?

Its all started in July 1998, where Racoon City's citizen were attacked by a group of dogs, which actually eats the human flesh; later on, people were eaten alive by a group of several people. Racoon City was a dead zone where no one can enter and leaves.

Thats the time where the S.T.A.R.S cop Jill Valentine, Chris Redfield, Barry Burton and Albert Wesker were lost contact in a middle of a mission in Raccon City. They end up in a mansion where the Umbrella Corporation was doing the research about the biological weapon - T-Virus. In the end of the day, they found out that it was Wesker's idea to lead the research about T-Virus and the accident inside the mansion released the virus out to public.

Umbrella Corporation, the leading medicine producer of Racoon City at the outside, and the one who're conducting research on the viruses without public known. The whole Umbrella Corporation was then collapsed and defeated in the later on series. But, the data about the viruses were taken and a new company continue on the research.

Lots of stuffs been happening coz whenever a company developing the vaccines or viruses taken down, another will arise to continue on the research and come out with a more incredible viruses.

For Resident Evil 3 – Extinction, the movie adapted a lot of fighting weapons inside. From the usual handgun to shotgun, then flamethrower and lastly, knife ! For the infectees, there's been the normal zombies, zombie dogs and crows. There's a added zombie with little intelligent that attacks more fierce and aggressive !

In the CGI movie Resident Evil - Degeneration, main character from Resident Evil 4, Leon Kennedy partner up with Claire Redfield (Chris Redfield's sister) to take down the company that claim that they created a vaccines for T-Virus - WilPharma. The founder of WilPharma secretly kept a dose of G-Virus inside the company that leads to disaster in the end of the story.

Ah...I better control myself or I'll non-stop crapping about the stuffs that you may think its boring ! Anyway, seeing Leon Kennedy in action makes me wanna play Resident Evil 4, as he was the main character.

Rating about the storyline ? 9.3 out of 10 !

How I calculated that 0.3 out ? Instinct told me to put so…hehe

Is It Coming to an End Already !? [Offline Blog for 5/4]

Seems like it. Since we're finished with our mid term tests and assignments, and we're going to finish our presentations and the coming final exams. Didnt really took any pictures with my fellow TE 4rians this semester when thinking back, this semester is just too short and rush.

Thinking back that day where I went to PE block with Sensei, its kinda fun to participate in the activity organized by the lectures, known as "The _Project" or something. Whatever project it is, the main purpose is wanna post our blog to the main page of UTAR, thats the thing I know so far.

Since I'm a semester 3 student (gonna be a Degree student very soon !), I'm not sure whether I still can participate in this project or not, though Mr Lau said its alright...

Ah...becoming a Degree student very soon ? Time seems to be going too fast, I still remember the day I first came in to UTAR, knowing my class only consist of around 13-16 people...becoming the smallest class among all the TEs...

Anyway, the end is near, but another beginning will come. The story will never end, as at the very end of the story, there's a new beginning that waiting for you to discover.

Oh, strangely, with the walkthrough that I got few days ago, I finished Resident Evil Deadly Silence as Jill in Rebirth + Easy Mode ! Woo hoo~ Too bad that I didn’t finish the game less than 3 hours, if I did I’ll be having infinity Rocket Launcher, an ultimate weapon that deals explosive damage to whoever that stands in front of me, I mean Jill !

A very short post huh ? Haha...
