Recent Updates

Its been weeks since my last update... let me list down what I've been through in those days:

- Having big problems with the Internet connection lately, there is no doubt that someone is manipulating the connection or heavily downloading/streaming movies. I hate it everytime when I wanna use it for assignment/report, it get sucks. Feels like smashing the modem so the whole house couldnt go online. *Rawr~~~~~*

- You might noticed it already, UTAR COU just had their second concert last month, coverage of the concert can be found here. We also had a celebration dinner 2 weeks afterwards with a concert DVD given to those who're attending as a mystery appreciation gift. I received a copy myself but couldnt watch it using my old laptop. *Sob sob* Anyway, I had a nice meal on that day, and I filled my stomach till it almost exploded !

#Celebration dinner at Grand Kampar Hotel Chinese Restaurant. Can you spot 2 hidden Mickey ?#

#We just couldnt stop ourselves from taking pictures on that day... even with our hoods on ! And yes, there's 1 more hidden Mickey here too.#

- Lectures are as boring as ever... but it is a different story for FYP ! Seeing my apple samples are giving positive results for the antioxidant assays I did on them motivates me to continue on. The only problem I encounter is time and amount of solvent left. Hope that I can finish everything soon.

- Oh yes... I did quite some cooking with Rannie-chan and Freezie-chan as well ! We cooked ourselves dinner a week before semester starts and constantly having a cooking session once every 2 weeks on glutinous rice ball dessert, fried bread and sushi.

#This is one-of-a-hell big piece of maki filled with cucumber, carrot, tuna spread, crab stick and sausage.#

- Working seems like enjoying lately, though we still need to be serious when the big bosses are around it is busy time. Me and Harley-san celebrated our beloved colleague's birthday last Saturday with a chocolate cake. Announcement: December monthly promotion coupons are coming real soon !!! 

#Obsessed in working until taking picture with the cake AND the tray. LOL~#

#Oh yeah... making leaf-shaped wasabi is my specialty now since almost everyone is afraid of the smell. Credits to Harley-san for the picture.#

純潔パラドックル - 水樹奈々

FYP gonna start real soon, and I'm still lagging behind of my schedule. I really didnt know what should I do after I done my extraction... to be precise, I havent done anything related to the methodology yet, I'm not even sure what kind of result will I be getting.

Life isnt as easy as you think. Seeing my fellow friends working on their gingers, bacteria and agar plates gave me an idea that FYP is going to be fun. We're all doing our own research all by ourselves with guidance from our supervisor. Once the whole thing was complete, we're writing our very own thesis for the experiment that we conducted, which might be handy one day in the future.

Anyway, I'm really lazy here. What I really wanna do is just lying on my bed hugging my pillow and nothing else... with some musics playing on my computer as company would be nice of course.

By the way, here's a song performed by Nana Mizuki titled Junketsu Paradox, which is the ending theme of the anime Blood-C, a collaboration project between Production IG and CLAMP. There's a Blood-C movie coming up in June 2012 too.

Been listening to this song since the beginning of August. I guess I'm really got poisoned by my working place because they tends to repeat the songs played in the restaurant quite often, and I even think that I can recognize a single song change in the playlist although I do not know of the song names...

Anyway, click on the video and listen to Yuna Ito again performing the song Precious live. As far as I'm informed, they're 2 version of the song: a normal version and a wedding-extension-or-whatever-it-is version, which is more longer and sounds more peaceful and lovely. And of course, the one in the video doesnt belong to these 2 versions.

Working + Song Sharing

Its been more than a month since I'm working as a part-timer now. Although I'm only working on weekends with little working hours, but still I found it fun hanging around with the staffs there. Besides, having chances to meet with friends that so happen to be having meals here makes my day even better.

Yeah... I know its almost been ONE whole month that I didnt update my blog. I'm just being lazy to update anything, since most of them are small stuffs... but hey, I did celebrated my birthday on my working day. It isnt a big celebration, but at least we had cakes, candles and presents. Gotta have another post to update that again sometime.

Anyway, I've been addicted to some of the songs in the working place lately. I managed to get enough information to find them myself on YouTube and would like to share it to you all here.

Nyan !!!

Found this interesting video few days back. Its a cat sandwiched between a some say strawberry-flavored Pop-tart with rainbow coming out at the back. The song is quite funny and cute. If you ever tried to sing with the cat, I'm so sorry to say that its difficult because you're not fast enough to sing it !!! 

If you're wondering what does "nyan" means, it is actually taken from the Japanese word にゃあ (pronounced as "nya"), which is the sound that cats make. More info on this cute-looking Nyan Cat, please refer to Wikipedia. 


One more thing... if you ever wanted to sing along with the cat WITH lyrics, it is better to sing without it since the whole song only consists of NYAN and I couldnt find a correct lyrics because I'm not fast enough to sing through all the Nyans posted on those lyrics website !!!

Week 2 Holiday [Offline Blog 24/5]

Just watched Pirates of the Caribbean On Stranger Tides last week Friday on Viva House. Thought that I'm getting myself a handmade teddy bear from the event that was happening right there told by my Gor... who knows that the teddy bear making event was canceled due to some circumstances from the organizer. Seeing that the things doesnt work out as planned, both of us together with one of his friend watched a movie before we left there.


Well, Pirates of the Caribbean On Stranger Tides is the fourth installment of the Pirates series by Disney. The movie welcome back Captain Jack Sparrow, the all time favorite pirate in search of the mystical Fountain of Youth guarded by the beauty yet deadly Mermaids. Threatened by the most feared pirate Blackbeard and his daughter, who is also once Jack's old time girldfriend, Jack Sparrow must lead them to the Fountain. With the Spanish crew and the royal England crew lead by Captain Barbosa heading to the same destination, the Fountain became the prize of the race. Who will be the one to drink the water from the Fountain ? Who will be blessed with eternal life ?


Review:
The fourth installment of Pirates did not fail to entertain the audience with laughters, actions and surprises. With new and old cast joined forces in this new installment, it seems that the whole Pirates story has more to expand beyond our imaginations. 


The old fans will find it interesting to see Captain Jack Sparrow in action again, but the new fans might get a little bit confused as in the relationship between the characters and some part of the story or object. For the new fans of Pirates, here's a quick recap on the previous 3 installments:

- Once upon a time there's a pirate named Captain Jack Sparrow, who stole Captain Barbosa's cursed ship: the Black Pearl.

3 sentences, 3 movie recaps... for the whole story, please search for the movie yourself and watch it. 


In the end, the story is fasinating, no bad comment on the musics... and I dont think its necessery to go for 3D since you can enjoy the excitement on 2D too. Overall rating ? 8.5 out of 10.

假期愉快 [Offline Blog 15/5]

你有试过连续三天都去同一个地方唱 K，打保龄球，打游戏机和看电影各两次吗？我不平凡的假期就这样开始了。。。

***第一天***

在金宝巴士车站买了车票后才被朋友点醒，原来我买的巴士车票公司是经常迟到的那个。


“看你下次还会再他们的车票吗？”他有点凶地问。
“还会有下次咩？”


十点半的巴士顿时变成了十一点半，终于整两点多才到吉隆坡车站。与我朋友碰面后，赶快找了间便宜酒店便朝 Times Square 去唱 K。由于唱下午的 K 时间剩不多，我们就决定唱晚上的，因为有 buffet 晚餐供应，可以一次过省下午餐及晚餐的钱。为了打发时间，我们俩跑到保龄球场打了几场球、到游戏机场一起打了几场机。


晚上回到酒店，就已经计划好明天一早醒来就去云顶玩翻天。由于冷气开到很大，我们俩睡同一张床。。。但是他一直抢盖被，要我抢回来才有得盖自己。


---第一天幕后故事---
唱完 K 正在走电梯下楼时朋友一直在问：”唱了那么久，我有唱到《我怀念的》吗？”
“好。。。好像有啊。”
“你有点来唱是吗？”
想了好久后才回答：”。。。有啊，因为是我要唱的啊。”
“那我有唱到吗？”
“有咩。。。有啊有啊！你自己不是很会唱还要抢着唱的叻。”
“哦。。。有啦？哦。。。”

***第二天***

我们有早醒，我们也有早到 KL Central 去买上云顶的车票，但是早上的车票还是卖完了。算了算，觉得上到云顶后玩不到几个小时又要下来了，最终决定：先吃个早餐再说吧！


走到 McD 点了两份早餐，边吃边玩弄那架 DS，希望可以上到网去 claim Pokemon Black 里的神秘礼物 - Pokemon 蛋蛋一粒。很可惜连上了网线，但是就是拿不到那粒蛋。既然计划都泡汤了，我提议回到 Times Square 去唱个 K，看个戏还是什么的，总好过在 McD 里呆。

回到 Times Square 后就去唱了整个下午，打了几场保龄球、游戏机和看了场英文片：Thor。 Thor 是部诉说我们地球人们所称为”神”的人类与蓝冰人星球的战争。蓝冰人因为滥用他们被赐的神圣武器将地球冰封（也就是我们地球的冰河时代），他们神圣的武器被没收了，然后从地球赶回到自己的星球去。日子久了，就在神界的二王子 Thor 接王位当天，蓝冰人突然出现在他们的星球要抢回他们的武器。Thor 也因为做错了事被国王贬掉魔法赶到地球。他为了救他的星球，他被逼与找到他的地球人们合作，找回他失去的魔法以及带领蓝冰人来到他星球的元凶。


整体来说这部由 Marvel 漫画改编的电影还算不错。虽然打斗场面不多，但故事不会闷，而且还有很多的笑场戏。


晚餐就在酒店不远的嘛嘛档口解决了。原本想到附近的 McD 上个网（其实原本的晚餐地点就是在 McD，但是看到嘛嘛档口有碌碌，我朋友停下脚步后，晚餐就在那里解决了），但是我们俩都累坏也饱胀了，所以就回到酒店休息了。


---第二天幕后故事---
吃完早餐后，我们坐在 McD 里无所事事。
“拿你的 DS 过来。”我朋友吩咐到。
“不要，我要上网去拿那粒蛋先。成功拿到的话再教你拿。”


*10 分钟后*


“找到 WiFi，就是 connect 到了上不到网！”
“哟，做末会酱的！”
“不知道，等下在 Times Square 再试一下咯。”
“拿你的 DS 过来。”
“Zzzz...”

***第三天***

早上退房后，我们俩又跑回去 Times Square 吃 KFC 后看了场戏，然后就各自回家去了。这次看了另一部我朋友说好看的：Priest。故事发生在一个吸血鬼的世界里，人们为了保护自己，教堂的教主们派了一批人马名为“祭师”(Priest)去消灭吸血鬼的窝。因为任务失败，教主们把他们祭师的职位贬了，在城市的边缘为了个厚墙防止吸血鬼的侵犯，以保护城市里人们的安全。教堂的口号“反抗教堂就是反抗神”已深入民心。居住在城市外面的男主角侄女怀疑被吸血鬼抓去了，为了拯救自己的侄女，男主角不顾一切地背叛了对教堂的承诺跑出城外寻找他的亲人。


整部戏的故事情节都还算不错，只是有点感觉太短了。胆小的人要注意，因为有几个部分会突然的被吓到。这是一部有望第二部曲出现的好戏，因为故事还可以继续向未来或者以前发展。


看完戏后我就和我朋友说再见，各自回各自的家咯。


---第三天幕后故事---
我们俩走到酒店柜台付钱时，有位看起来像马来人的男性外劳在那里问酒店房的价钱。

“这里房间价钱是什么？”
“今天星期六，每晚 RM 90。”
“如果我只要几个小时叻？”
“几个小时？每个小时 RM 10 算咯。”
“两个小时就 RM 20 咯？”


柜台老板娘开了单后我们就走了。


在酒店门口时，我朋友说：”那个男的一定是来叫鸡的。”
“你又知道？”
“你没有看到一个女生穿衣服很美在后面不远啊！？”
“我知道有个人，但是我没有看清楚是谁啊。”
“还有，他只要两粒钟叻，不是叫鸡是做什么噢！”
“。。。”

Listening to this piece reminds me of playing my first ever Square Enix games: Final Fantasy VII. This song always played when I entered a certain town in the very beginning of the game. Below is the original version from the game's soundtrack. A great thanks to Nobuo Uematsu-sama for composing this piece.





I wish I could play back this awesome game again, for its nicely planned plot twist and beautifully arranged soundtracks.


To be honest, Square Enix was once my dream working place just because of their beautiful gaming graphics and soundtracks. Lol~~~

I know its been quite some time since this movie released in the cinema. But have you actually paid some attention to the elements inside this wonderful animation from Disney ?

Yes of course, you noticed that this animation is not "Disney Pixar" but "Disney's" only. It only means one thing here: Disney can do pretty fairy tales on their own too !

And yes of course, its another "princess" movie again. But this doesnt mean that this animation is not suitable for the guys alright ?

吉隆坡中华校友会华乐团《八千里路云和月》扬琴与华乐音乐会 + 零碎的回忆

刚开始被叫到去看这个演奏会时，心里其实在想着：不要看扬琴可以吗？但是看了演奏会后发觉到，其实扬琴独奏也很精彩。

演奏会当天是 3 月 5 日星期六，在 PJ Galaxy Hall。还没去演奏会前我已经 Google Map 了那个地方，看起来还蛮近 UTAR PJ 的，所以就一口气答应了。

那天七早八早就爬起身收拾书包准备与朋友到巴士站下 KL shopping。到 KL 了就去走走买东西、吃东西、看东西。我们走到 Times Square 里的“欢喜地茶餐厅”吃午饭。我 order 了猪肉片饭套餐和一碗牛奶红豆薏米。我们也叫了一个皮萨一起品尝。

#近距离看一看！它的酱汁很香，配饭很好吃！#

#牛奶红豆薏米！牛奶的鲜配上薏米和红豆的甜，感觉很新鲜。#

吃饱饱后我们就跑到 Low Yat 去看电话，电脑包包，掌上游戏机和滑鼠。我自己本身是想要买个 NDS 或是 PSP 很久了，既然来到了就顺便看看价钱咯。走了不久后发现价钱还算可以接受，便买下了一个 NDS。挑颜色时真的很费时，因为怕挑到个不适合自己或是太小孩子的颜色。经过多番考虑，终于选了黑色来配我的 Sony MP3，电脑和手机。

#闪闪发亮啊！（我擦了好久才又那么亮的，哈哈~）#

#打开来看一下！除了 A B X Y、Start、Select 和上下左右键，还有 L R 键在左右上角和一个麦克风在中间。#

我上网查到说 NDS 其实还可以用来上网的。不是开玩笑的上网哦，是真的可以开 Google 上网的。当然 Flash 和 Java 之类的时开不到啦，它只是能 support 文字和图片而已。可惜我缺少一些东西，要不然我也可以用它来上网了。

与我朋友告别后，傍晚时分我自己一个人冒着雨回到熟悉的 PJ Section 17。自己的双脚很自然的就带着我走到 Happy Mansion 那里等我另一个朋友。那时我发现，其实撑着伞在雨中漫步看风景回忆以前所发生过的点点滴滴，也是一种乐趣。在肥佬丝（好意记）那里吃了晚饭后就走到 Jaya One 那里搭的士去看演奏会。

经过 Jaya One 对面那堆草场时，我一时兴起便跳到草场找一些只有在那里才有的东西。


“在找什么？”朋友问到。

当我找到我要的东西时，我很兴奋。。。很久没有看到那么漂亮的相思豆了。

“我找到的，送给你。”我说。

“才不要。”他忙着过马路地回答。

“你不要没关系，我可以送给别人。”我心想。

过后找到辆的士在我们到 Galaxy Hall 去，找了半天才找到那个有点偏僻的地点。进场后就给那个演奏会礼堂炸到，因为礼堂小得可怜，而且座位也应该不超过 200。无论如何，演奏的曲子都很精彩，尤其是《春节序曲》，《俄罗斯组曲》，《查尔达斯舞曲》和《八千里路云和月》。

演奏会完毕后便随我干哥哥回到他家过夜，隔天才搭火车回金宝。有一段时间没见他了，听他说下个月就去韩国旅行，我很快的跟他要了些韩国的糖果与零食。哈哈~~~


搭着回家的火车，心里想着：我又回来啦，金宝。

Kingom Hearts: Birth By Sleep & 358/2 Days Original Soundtrack

When the soundtrack released, the only tracks that I'm concern of is the one from 358/2 Days and Re:Coded and some from BBS too. Downloaded it for the whole night and waking up finding the download was complete, I was pleased and started to extract the whole file out and played them on my computer.

When listening to the soundtracks from 358/2 Days, it reminds me a lot of the plot and twists thats been going on in the game. The happiness, sadness, sea salt ice-creams and sunset... Here's one song that reminds me everything in 358/2 Days.

2010 年马来西亚华乐合奏大赛 [Offline Blog for 27/12]

#合奏大赛入场卷。#

昨晚在天后宫雪隆海南会馆礼堂观看了第五届的华乐合奏大赛决赛，感觉很非比寻常。遇见了两位团长，也遇见了我的笛子老师。觉得很兴奋，也很开心。

8 队团体分别都演奏两首歌曲：一首是大会指定歌曲，另一首是参赛歌曲。指定的歌曲是《春光啊啦啦地嬉闹》，一首现代的曲子。我个人来说，我真的听不明这首曲子。总共听了这首曲子 8 次，听了 8 次我还听不出旋律和拍子，更不要说我记不记得这首曲子。

另外一首曲子是团队自选的，分别听了《瑶族舞曲》，《台湾追想曲》，《牛郎织女》，《竹歌》，《夏》，《茉莉花》和《音乐会序曲-金蛇狂舞》。我把其中一首蛮好听的给忘掉了。在众多的曲子里，我个人特别欣赏《牛郎织女》，《夏》，《音乐会序曲-金蛇狂舞》和那首忘掉了的曲子。尤其是现场听《夏》，感动到快要流泪了。

过后晚上时就托团长的福载我跟我的朋友到地铁站搭地铁回他家。回到家就冲凉睡觉咯。

那天晚上很冷。

你知道我怕冷，趁我熟睡，

跑去把风扇关小。

早上时看得出你很冷，

要不你就不会把自己包到像粽子一样。

你二度钻进来，都感到你身体很冷。

生病了就多喝水。

看到你咳嗽很吃力，

你以为我很开心啊？

原来，失去了才学会去拥有。

想到 2 月 20 日 就是比赛日期，看来要加把劲把曲子给练好了！
